From Scratch-and-Sniff Cards to Valentines with Charms or Erasers, the Peaceable Kingdom Collection of Valentine’s Offers Something for Everyone Exchanging Cards This Year!

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in exchange for an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Pretty soon your kids will be coming home from school and outside groups with flyers about Valentine's Day parties and card exchanges.  We are gearing up to ship out 50+ Valentines to homeschoolers all over the United States, like we do every year.  Last year, the girls made homemade cards to sent out, along with including a fun store-bought card with a sticker or little trinket gift included.  This year, because we are doing so many cards and postage just went up, we are being selective with Valentine's that have be shipped far and may require extra postage.

When it comes to fun Valentines, I find myself year after year checking out Peaceable Kingdom's line of Valentines.  I have never been disappointed with their selection, and have found some really unique cards like scratch-and-sniff and others, that my girls love and have fun sending out to their friends.  I will not lie...they are really cool, and oftentimes my girls will keep a handful of the Valentines for themselves, or ask me to buy another box, so that they can enjoy the goodies or activities that come with these fun Peaceable Kingdom Valentines.

This year, is no exception with prepping our Valentine's card assortment.  I headed over to MindWare site, which carries Peaceable Kingdom Valentines, and was blown away by the different styles available.  If only they had these types of Valentines around when I was little...I would have loved to get some of these, especially the scented ones.

In addition to placing an order for some of the Valentines from Peaceable Kingdom, I was also sent two boxes in the mail for review and inclusion in my Valentine's Day Gift Guide.

The kind folks at MindWare sent the above grape scented Scratch & Sniff Valentines that feature such adorable puppies on the cards, as well as scented eraser Valentines, which are great for kids to hand out to school friends.

This scented eraser set includes 28 boxes of scented erasers in strawberry, kiwi and banana scents, and feature cute zoo animals like a monkey, koala and porcupine.

When my girls saw these eraser Valentines, they couldn't wait to see and smell the cute animal erasers.  This was one of the boxes I had ordered online before receiving the sample box.  So, when the girls asked if they could keep a few, I told them we would use this sample box to send out to friends, but that they had another box coming that they could keep some for themselves.  I knew they would be a hit with my girls, and with their friends in local co ops and homeschool meetups we do, as well as ones we will be mailing out soon.

Here are some other Peaceable Kingdom Valentines that my girls and I saw on the MindWare site, and thought were cute and perfect for kids to give out this Valentine's Day....

Shark Tooth Necklace Valentines - Only $11.25/box of 8

These are just a handful of the many fun Peaceable Kingdom Valentines available for card exchanges this year.  It was hard for my girls to choose just a few, as they said they were all cool, and they loved with the different goodies that came with many of them.

Don't wait in ordering these cute Valentines for your kids' card exchanges, as they usually sell out, and are hard to find in stores that carry Peaceable Kingdom products.

Instead, order now, and get your kids excited about their upcoming Valentine's Day parties and card exchanges.  But, we warned, once they see these cute offerings, they will want to keep a few for themselves...so, order enough for your kids to keep some, as well as have enough for their school and other exchanges.

Our Recent Peaceable Kingdom Game Night Was a Hit With Everyone, Young and Old! (Review) #cooperativegames #tryazon

Disclosure: I was set samples from the vendor in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

As part of our homeschooling, I incorporate a lot of board games into our schooling.  Both of my girls are hands on learning and I love being able to break up the school with games, that are not only fun but educational, too.  This past weekend, I had the opportunity to host a dozen of their homeschool friends and parents for our weekly family game night.  Because we were expecting a large group, I was able to secure a room at a nearby library for everyone to meet up and enjoy and snacks.

After everyone arrived for our Peaceable Kingdom game night, I started by introducing families to the Peacable Kindgom game line.  I was surprised that a handful of families had never heard of this amazing brand, and that another few really didn't play board games together as a family.  But, it was nice to see that they were giving it a chance, and those who are not usually board game players were hooked by the end of the night. :-)

Are you familiar with Peaceable Kingdom games?  I have shared reviews in the past on their board games and even shared social posts about their fun smelly stickers and STEM Toys in the past.  But, if you are not familiar with Peaceable Kingdom, here is some background on this amazing brand, brought to you by Mindware...

"Kindness is essential to success in life. Cooperative games blend playful fun with a chance to learn compassion and practice kindness toward others.

Common goals teach kids to work together. Cooperative games enable players to win or lose as a team, which builds resilience and strengthens friendships.

Nothing is more important than meaningful connections. Cooperative games are an engaging way to turn off the screens and join together for face-to-face play.

When play comes from the heart and feeds the soul, that’s Peaceable Kingdom.

Here at Peaceable Kingdom, we believe in a few important things:

  • We believe in slowing down and putting our screens aside so we can play with our kids, in spending time with friends and in connecting with family.
  • We believe that doing this for even a little bit every day nourishes our spirit.
  • We believe that kids shine when kindness, courage, and connection are part of their DNA, when they reach out to someone who is sad, or can get up after a tumble, or give you an unexpected hug.
  • We believe that honesty really is the best policy, no matter what.
  • We believe in cooperation in all its forms, with each other as employees, with the inventors, artists, manufacturers, and retailers who make up our larger family, and with our planet.
  • We believe that when play comes from the heart and feeds the soul, a more peaceable kingdom really is possible."

As part of my Peaceable Kingdom Tryazon Party, I was sent the following cooperative games for review and featuring:

  • Available exclusively at Target
  • Read the book - Follow along with Max the hedgehog as he experiences the sunny and stormy parts of his day.
  • Play the Game - Scenes from Max’s day make up a colorful matching game that’s simple to play. Using your memory skills, find sunny and stormy matches from the book before the moon comes up and Max’s day is over.
  • Start a Family Tradition - Three tokens — a sun, cloud, and rainbow — are the only tools you need to begin talking about the sunny and stormy parts of your day as a family. Sunny and Stormy Day! was created as a way for families to build a daily habit of sharing from the heart. You can do it at bedtime or anytime that works for your family, such as dinnertime or when you’re on your way home from school. Find your special time of day when you each can share something that happened to you and how that made you feel.

Hoot Owl Hoot Cooperative Game

  • Learning Skills: Color matching, Simple strategy, Following directions, Social development Cooperation
  • Description: Players help the owls fly back to their nest before the sun comes up. Play a color card and fly to that space. Draw a sun card, and you’re one step closer to the daylight. Help all the owls get home before the sun rises and everyone wins!

  • The basic game is easy enough for first time game players and the game can be made infinitely more challenging simply by adding more owl tokens into the game. This allows the game to age with the child or for older kids (or adults!) to play with younger kids.

Race To The Treasure Cooperative Game

  • Learning Skills: Strategy Math grid concepts, Shared decision making,
  • Cooperation
  • Description: Players try to beat the ogre to the treasure by creating a path from START to END. Along the way they need to collect three keys to open the treasure.

  • Players strategize, cooperate, and build the path together. If they do it before the ogre gets there, they all win! Kids love working together to defeat the ogre. Building onto a path encourages kids to think two steps ahead and to look at all possibilities. Game play changes each game depending on where the keys are placed.

These are just a few of the many cooperative games available from Peaceable Kingdom. Head on over to the the Peaceable kingdom website and see all the amazing award winning games available today.

I have been a fan of Peaceable Kingdom cooperative games for some time, as my oldest daughter, Savannah struggles with games that crown someone a winner at the end.  She hates when she is losing and usually wants to throw in the towel and walk away.  Game nights are supposed to be fun and a great way for family to bond and enjoy time together, without any electronic devices or distractions.  But, when you have a child or children who get discouraged when they are losing in a game, it is never fun.  Because of this, I searched high and low for games like the ones that Peaceable Kingdom offers, that would only be fun for the whole family to play, but that would encourage teamwork.

Savannah was so excited when she saw the three Peaceable Kingdom games we sent to play at our game night with her friends from co-op as she had planned to ask Santa for them for Christmas.  She said she saw them online and thought they looked like a lot of fun. And, she was right...they were a hit with everyone!

Not only do these game have players working together against the game instead of each other, they also help kids build confidence, teach kids to share and encourage inclusion.  Like I said in the beginning, there were a few families who weren't into playing games together, so their kids wanted to just observe at first.  But, when they saw the kids really getting it the games and having fun, they couldn't resist joining in the fun.

I loved seeing all the kids and parents having a fun time at our Peaceable Kingdom game night, and everyone left smiling and happy they came out to spend a couple hours playing games.  I can't wait to host another game night for our co-op families. And, I know many kids will be getting some of these and other Peaceable Kingdom cooperative games as their parents have already reached out to me since the party to ask for suggestions as they know we have many Peaceable Kingdom games, and plan to add some games to their holiday shopping lists, so that they can start doing family game nights at home.

So, with the holidays fast approaching and kids starting to get their wish lists together and parents and grandparents working on holiday shopping lists, why not make a point to check out the different Peaceable Kingdom games available.  Yes, toy are fun, but games will be played with time and again, and really come in handy for rainy days or snow days, to help keeps kids entertained and having fun.  Head on over to Peaceable Kingdom today to learn all about their fun, educational games, kits and more.
