Brushing Has Become Fun Thanks to the ARM & HAMMER™ One Direction Tooth Tunes™ Toothbrush (Review) #ToothTunes1D #Sponsored

Do your children like to brush their teeth?  A few months ago, I was lucky if I could get Savannah to brush at least once a day.  You would think with all my years of experience educating youth in schools and at community health fairs as a health educator on the importance of brushing your teeth, that my girls would be gun ho about brushing.  But, that wasn't the case.  While Savannah liked the taste of the training toothpaste, she would merely just chew on the toothbrush, not brushing her teeth at all. 

Did you know that you and your child(ren) are supposed to be brushing their teeth for at least 2 minutes for it to be a thorough cleaning?  I was lucky to get my girls to brush for at least 30 seconds before the toothpaste was sucked off and the toothbrush was thrown on the floor.  Back in the day when I would teach kids about brushing, I would tell them to sing "Happy Birthday" a few times in their heads, in order to reach 2 minutes of brushing.  And, for preschoolers and their parents, I would teach parents silly songs to sing to their kids, to get them to brush up and down, left and right, and don't forget their tongue.  I tried all these techniques with my girls, but they didn't seem to work.  It took a musical toothbrush to get them excited and hooked on brushing their teeth.

My Thoughts:

 

I was sent a sample of each of the products above to review, and have to say my favorite is the ARM & HAMMER Tooth Tunes brush.  I have been looking for a way for my daughter to brush her teeth longer, and thanks to this innovation toothbrush, now she brushes until the song starts (2 full minutes).  At first, I didn't know how loud the sound would be, but after trying out the tooth brush, it is at just the right decibel to hear it, but not have to wish there was a volume button to turn it down.  I even caught Savannah showing off her new toothbrush to her little sister today -- hopefully Arabella will pick up good dental hygiene pointers from her. :-)

 

 

As for the ARM & HAMMER™ Whitening Booster, I have only been using it for two days now, but love how it is easy to use, and stays put, unlike those pesky whitening strips.  I have always been a fan of the ARM & HAMMER™ Spinbrush.  But, I am loving the new features of the bristle colors changing to let you know you need to replace it, as well as how it gets down to the gums, for an even cleaner brush.

Yes, I know what you are thinking?  "Who wants to get a toothbrush or toothpaste in their stocking?"  Kids will love their Tooth Tunes brush, while adults will love getting their teeth whiter in less time, without the need for those messy strips that never seem to stay on or make teeth whiter.  If Santa can give socks and underwear as gifts, then why can't he also drop a new toothbrush and dental supplies in your stocking while he is at it?  :-)
