Leave it to Denzel Washington to take us on another thrill ride with Equalizer 3. This highly anticipated movie in the 3 movie franchise is finally available to own on 4K HD, Blu-ray and DVD, as well as part of an exclusive 3-Film Equalizer Collection. I missed the movie when it released to theaters, and have been eagerly awaiting its release to home video.
The folks at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment recently sent me a screener of Equalizer 3 to watch, and I couldn't wait to watch it. WOW! is all I have to say after watching this movie. Usually I am not a fan of movies that have sequels, but anything that Denzel Washington is in, always is great, and the Equalizer 3 release is no exception.
Like the previous two Equalizer movies, this movie will pull you in from the start, and has your eyes glued to the TV screen, as you don't want to miss a single minute. You truly are taken for a thrill ride as you find yourself being pulled in one direction one minute and the next the movie spins into another direction. I love movies where you never know what it going to happen next. And, predictions that you may have end up spinning all around and going here, there and everywhere, never letting up on the action and intrigue of the story line. Denzel Washington is great in this franchise and really is an amazing actor.
My husband and I watched this movie the other night, after binging the first two Equalizer movies. As soon as the movie was over I asked my husband his thoughts. He was in agreeance that this movie was his favorite of the three. It was jam packed with action and suspense, and had Denzel's character Robert McCall staying calm and collected through it all. This is what I love about this movie franchise, how Denzel can stay relaxed, while everything around is spinning out of control. He is committed to justice and a true hero as he looks to set things right throughout the movie.
I am so glad I was finally able to see this movie and now can binge all three Equalizer movies whenever I want. But, for now, I think we will be watching this recent release again, not just for the amazing movie, but for the bonus content. So far, we have only gotten through the Denzel and Dakota: A Reunion feature and the Jacob Banks "Monster" Lyric Video from the bonus content section. This weekend we will watch the movie again, and then finish up the additional bonus contention with includes a handful of featurettes and Postcards from the Amalfi Coast.
If you are a huge Denzel Washington fan like I am, and loved the previous two Equalizer movies, I highly recommend you pick up the new Equalizer 3 release to add to your collection. And, if you don't have the previous two movies, you can grab the 3-Film Equalizer Collection and have all three, to watch time and again. These movies also make for great stocking stuffers for movie buffs and those who love action and suspense films.
