Includes All New Sing-Along Version for Families to Enjoy at Home!

The wait is finally over -- Disney's The Little Mermaid live action movie is now available to own on Digital as of July 25th. It arrives to 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ and DVD on September 19th.  We missed this movie when it was in theaters as my youngest was recovering from surgery.  So, we have been counting down the days until this new live action adaptation of one of Disney's most magical movies released to digital, so that we could finally watch it.  Boy, was it worth the wait!  This was a spectacular movie, and done so well.  I am not usually a fan of live action movies as they seem to take away the charm of the animated movies we have grown up loving and watching time and again with our family. But, this was one done in such a way, it added more magic to the story and brought a freshness with the songs sung by Halle Baily, Melissa McCarthy and the rest of the star-studded cast. In addition to the beloved The Little Mermaid songs we all love to sing, this new live-action version adds more songs you will find yourself wanting to sing along to.  Note: If you can't get enough of the songs from this live-action movie, be sure you pick up the movie soundtrack, so you can enjoy the songs and sing along with your family at home and in the car.  I will definitely be picking up the soundtrack for us to enjoy on upcoming car rides as we wind down our final days of summer.

Since being sent the screener to watch, my family has already watched this movie a handful of times. Each time we watch it, we find something new and magical about this live-action movie that makes us fall in love with it all over again.  Be sure to check out the bonus content which includes featurettes, bloopers and more, as well as play the movie in sing-along version, so you can add to the fun for an upcoming family movie night.  We are already counting down the days until this upcoming weekend as we plan to watch it again, and do some themed arts and crafts prior to make a day of it.

If you are looking for a fun family-friendly movie to enjoy with your family as you say goodbye to summer, I highly recommend you check out this live-action version of Disney's beloved The Little Mermaid. It will delight all ages and become an instant hit with everyone in your house.  I know, as we all love it in our house, and can't get enough of it!

Film Synopsis

The Little Mermaid is visionary filmmaker Rob Marshall’s live-action reimagining of Disney’s beloved animated musical classic, the story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy. “The Little Mermaid” is directed by Rob Marshall with a screenplay by David Magee, and is produced by Marc Platt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, John DeLuca and Rob Marshall."
