The family-friendly comedy C.I.Ape is coming to Digital and DVD September 28 from Lionsgate. Sophia Alongi, Skip Schwink and Madelyn Kientz star.
If your family loves family movie nights, then I have the perfect movie to pick up and share with them next week -- C.I.APE, is a family-friendly comedy from Lionsgate Home Entertainment that is sure to delight kids and adults. I was recently sent a screener of this movie, and planned to watch it this weekend with them. But, it has been raining the past few days here, so the girls have been stuck inside and bored when they were done with their schooling. So, I surprised them with an early family movie night last night, and we watched C.I.APE.
This Dove-approved movie was such a treat, and fun to watch. Even my husband who is not usually into cheesy movies like this, said he enjoyed, and would watch again with the girls. Below you will see the official trailer for the movie, as well as the movie synopsis. The jist of the movie is that there is an ape in the CIA, named Sam. And, it is up to Sam to help foil the criminal plot the CIA discovers. Once the movie starts playing and you meet Sam, you can't help but fall in love with this lovable and oh so talented chimp.
Fans of talking animal movies will get a kick out of Sam, the C.I. Ape, and the story line is easy to understand and follow, for younger viewers, too. Both of my girls gave this movie two thumbs up, as did my husband and I. And, we are so glad we own this movie, so we can watch it again and again. :-)
SYNOPSIS:
In the world of espionage, some missions require an agent with a unique set of skills, possessing not just bravery but an ability to melt even the most villainous heart. This is a job for Sam, aka C.I.Ape, the first-ever chimpanzee to join the CIA!
