The Cost and Benefits of Invisalign

Many of us want that healthy, bright smile. From flossing each day to visiting the dentist regularly, this goal is not typically difficult to achieve. However, straightening your teeth is a bit more complex a procedure. The dentist can help patients straighten their smiles with traditional braces; however, metal braces are not for everyone. Fortunately, one potential option is Invisalign. As the most well-known and trusted brand for clear aligners, Invisalign may be right for you.

There are several known benefits of Invisalign. Invisalign, with clear aligners, is much less noticeable than traditional braces. Braces are highly effective for straightening your teeth, but they are a prominent feature in your smile. Traditional braces are bulky, sometimes painful, cannot be removed, and adults who want to straighten teeth don’t enjoy the metallic look. And, unlike Invisalign, traditional braces cannot be removed. So, if you are uncomfortable, you have to find another way to cope.

Among the benefits of Invisalign include the comfort of removing your clear aligners for a short time each day. Each patient needs to wear their aligners at least 22 hours a day, and they are easily removed to eat, floss, and brush your teeth. Clear aligners are, as assumed, transparent, but Invisalign has a frosted aligner. These frosted clear aligners blend better with our naturally matte teeth. While clear aligners aren’t as noticeable as traditional braces, Invisalign’s frosted aligners are even less so.

Invisalign aligners are as effective as braces. More than being virtually invisible and convenient, the clear aligners of Invisalign can correct teeth in almost any condition. There are types of home aligners, and these are best for those with mild to moderate alignments. There can be no bite issues for home aligners to be effective. With in-office solutions such as Invisalign, you can treat more complex conditions and bite issues. To see the incredible results of Invisalign, you receive the custom aligners necessary to straighten your teeth. A dentist will also advise you on the appropriate aftercare to ensure these results last.

When you see your dentist get the clear aligners customized to your teeth, you get one-on-one care and advice. While home aligners are affordable and convenient, especially during a pandemic, your dentist can offer one-on-one care alongside high-quality clear aligners. Visiting a dentist to get Invisalign means that you work with a professional to address questions and concerns throughout the process. In addition, you can schedule additional appointments, call the dentist with questions in-between appointments, and get the customer service you have come to expect from your dentist.

Discussing the advantages of service comes with the disadvantage. Invisalign treatment is more expensive than traditional braces. It is most expensive when you do not have full insurance coverage, and the condition of your teeth is more severe. Invisalign is also time-consuming because you have to replace the aligners every few weeks. However, the process of Invisalign only lasts between 12 and 18 months. Compared to traditional braces, the process of straightening your smile takes between 18 months and three years, depending on the severity of your condition.

  2. I had braces before but then had wisdom teeth removed so invisalign would be something I consider if I want to align my teeth again
