This past weekend we watched Hero Dog: The Journey Home for our weekly family movie night.  My oldest daughter was really excited to watch this movie as she is a big animal lover, and loves watching any movies with animals in them, especially dogs and cats. And, after I told her about this movie last month, she has been watching the above movie trailer over and over again, eagerly awaiting for us to receive the screener to review.

As soon as we put on this movie, both of my girls' eyes were glued to the screen.  They couldn't even step away to grab a popcorn refill...that is how engrossed in the movie they were.  Chinook, the Alaskan malamute dog in this movie really is a beautiful dog, and will have you on the edge of your seat, rooting for Chinook to get Royce Davis safely to his kids.  This movie truly is a heartwarming family-friendly film that will pull at your heartstrings. So, if you cry easily at a movie, you will want to make sure you have tissues nearby. Both my youngest daughter and I were tearing up throughout the movie, and at the very end.  And, when the credits started to roll, both of my girls turned to me and said how much they loved this movie, and how they can't wait to watch it again soon.

We really enjoyed this movie, and I know you and your kids will, too!  Keep reading for a chance to win 1 of 2 DVD copies of this movie up for grabs. :-)
