Enhance Your Wellness This Spring With These Activities

NATURE WALKS 


The winter is now behind us and signs of life are emerging from the earth, the branches, and the ponds. If you're like most people your life will have been somewhat restricted over the last few months, but now there are some reasons to be optimistic. 


Spring is the best season to renew your health with nature walks. Why is this you ask? For one thing the sun has returned for more hours each day and there is more to see and do in the parks and hills. Embrace the season this year to enhance your health. 


MINDFULNESS 


If you want to bring some extra interest and value to your daily nature walks, why not take up the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness is very easy to learn and practice and it can bring new dimensions of wellness into your life.  


Mindful walking is one way you can practice. Try to detect yourself from thoughts and ideas about where you're going and why. Try to switch off your mental narrator telling you have lots of this you need to do — simply concentrate on one step a time and listen to the sounds around you.


JOURNALING


You can really improve your wellness without doing at least a little bit of self reflection. The unexamined life isn't worth life isn't worth living, a philosopher once said, and he might be right if you want to find meaning and grow as a human being.

The good news is that as the weather gets warmer and more fruits and vegetables are grown you will find it easier to keep the weight off. During the summer people tend to eat less anyways and eat more healthy foods. Why not get a head start this spring.
