Have you depleted all the movies on your streaming services? Being home 24/7 with the kids, my husband and I have found ourselves sitting and watching more television shows and movies with them. We have introduced them to shows we watched as kids their ages and started all the way back at season 1 of these shows. But, when it comes to family movie nights, which seem to be a few nights a week, we have hit a wall as we have seen so many movies with the girls, some more than once. If only there were so great new family movie releases to add a spark to our movie nights. Well, thanks to a recent release, we had a blast over the weekend for a our pizza and movie night. Instead of watching another movie over again, we sat and watched Lena & Snowball. Just look at the cover art of this movie above, you can tell it is about a girl and a lion cub. But, how are these two unlikely friends together? Once you start watching the movie, you will find this cute and heartwarming story play out in a fun and entertaining way. We were all glued to the screen right up until the credits started to roll. And, once the movie was over, both of my girls were smiling and saying how much they loved this movie. While they wished they could befriend a lion cub, they know they are better off in the wild or if need be taken care of at a zoo. But, they loved the movie so much, they ended up watching it again Sunday, and have since asked to watch it again as a family soon. I can see why the girls loved the movie so much, and why so many other families have been raving about the movie since its release to DVD and Digital back in early January. Even though we are a little late to the game in watching it, I am so glad we finally had a chance to watch this family-friendly movie, as it is an amazing movie, and will delights kids and adults of all ages, and be one of those movies you will want to watch time and time again.
So, if you have been looking for a new family-friendly movie to share with your kids, I highly recommend Lena & Snowball, available now on DVD and Digital.
