Veterinarian Formulated. Pet Approved.

You would think with things like dog food that you wouldn't have issues finding it in stores and online.  But, recently, I found myself on a hunt both online and in various stores looking for the wet and dry dog food brand that we have been feeding our rescue pup, Milly, for over 5 years now.  When we rescued her, she was being fed this wet/dry food combination by her foster family, and we just kept with it.  Never did I think I would have to switch things up, and when doing so realize my dog is a picky eater, and will not just eat any dog food -- even though she can't resist table scraps.

With everything going on with Covid, the last thing I want to be doing is going from store to store looking for dog food. But, like I said, I was recently left to search high and low, only to eventually find out they phased out the brand we had been using with our dog.  I did find a few bags and can cases on Amazon, but they jacked up the pricing, and I wasn't going to pay triple the amount.  I reached out to our vet for recommendations and found out that there are now a variety of dog food options available including freeze dried, raw, grain free, etc.  With so many to choose from, I was left to do research on some of the brands recommended by the vet.  Eventually, I settled on a few brands, but when feeding our dog, found she wasn't a fan.  We even tried to fool her to eat the food by mixing with hamburger and rice, but she was smart and only ate the "people" food and left the wet and dry dog food around.  I was about to buy the overpriced food on Amazon to buy myself more time to find a brand of dog food my dog would eat, but then I received an email about SquarePet’s new vegetarian option - SquareEgg. I took this as a sign and jumped at the opportunity to try out this brand I had never heard of, and to see if maybe my dog was a vegetarian or liked this type of meat-free dog food formula.

A few short days later, I received a bag of SquarePet’s new vegetarian option - SquareEgg in the mail to try with my dog, and couldn't wait to see what she thought. At first, my dog just sniffed the food and walked away.

But, after my oldest sat down and tried to hand feed the dog, our rescue pup, Milly, couldn't stop eating it.

You would think that someone was standing near her waiting to push her aside and steal her food, as she was eating so fast to clean the plate. And, once she was done, she sat there looking cute, hoping that she would get another serving of SquarePet’s new vegetarian option - SquareEgg. :-)

I was so happy that I finally found a new brand of dog food for my dog that was not only good for her and that I could understand the ingredients, but that our dog really loved it, and now looks forward to meal time each day.  We have been feeding my dog SquarePet’s new vegetarian option - SquareEgg for about two weeks now and I can see that this food is agreeing with her and her digestive system better than the old food she used to eat. She is more regular when she goes out and doesn't get that begurgling belly. Also, she has better smelling breath, compared to her old stinky breath she would have from eating the wet and dry food mix. Our dog is 6 years old and is now a huge fan of SquarePet’s new vegetarian option - SquareEgg. This vegetarian dog food is perfect for all stages/ages of a pup's life -- from puppy through senior years. I am glad that I was able to try out the SquarePet’s new vegetarian option - SquareEgg and that it is a better quality dog food that I can't stop raving about with family and friends who have dogs, in case they are looking to switch up their dog's food, or find themselves like I was last month, trying to find a new dog food brand to switch to.
