Kicking off Virtual Camp Warner Bros. with Super Hero Week -- Complete with Super Hero Training and LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters Movie Night

Disclosure: I was provided with a digital code from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to view the LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters movie. However, all views shared are mine and mine alone.

Welcome to Camp Warner Bros.! We are so excited to you have you with us this summer! You should have received your kit by now, and we hope you are enjoying your camp gear. Looking forward to your camp gear coverage on your site and socials!

Welcome Campers to Week 1 of Camp Warner Bros.  We kick off our virtual summer camp week with Super Hero Training led by Batman himself, and then follow it up with an adventure filled movie night as we watch LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters, which is now available to own on Digital, Blu-Ray and DVD.

Gather up your whole family and get ready for a fun-filled week at camp, as you all take on rolls as your favorite super hero. :-)  Why not have your own cosplay party and dress up as your favorite superhero, create a shirt to wear for Super Hero Week with permanent markers or fabric paints to capture your super hero's badge or logo, and then get ready to join Batman for some fun games including Batman Says and my personal favorite, Memory Challenges.

In this video, Batman will show you what it takes to be a Super Hero! He will offer training tips with fun games for our campers including, “Batman Says,” “Super Hero Freeze,” “Memory Challenges” and more! Do you think you have what it takes? We know you do!   *Box art and video are courtesy of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment;Video was created by Send In The Clowns LA

My girls and I watched the Super Hero Training video above yesterday and loved it!  My youngest loves Batman and was all smiles when the video started to play and her favorite superhero was talking right to her and getting her ready to train like a super hero. :-)

"Don't share at me, or I will zap you with my laser eyes!"

"You can't be a super hero without a cape!", Savannah said :-)

They even got into the whole super hero theme week by dressing up as caped superheroes complete with masks they made and ones they had in their dress up station.  I loved the girls take on catwoman, making their very own cat girl masks. :-)

This was a great video to kick off Super Hero Week and get my family excited about the release of LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters, which we watched tonight as our first Camp Warner Bros. weekly family movie night.  Here is more about the movie, along with a trailer....

Synopsis:

"10-year-old Billy Batson shouts a single word and, with lightning bolts flashing, he transforms into Shazam!, a full-fledged adult Super Hero. It doesn’t take long for Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and the rest of the Justice League to take notice and invite the earnest do-gooder to join the team. But to become a member, Billy must reveal his true identity. While fighting off the evil Mr. Mind and Black Adam, Billy learns that he must trust others – and that nothing creates trust like helping those in need. Join the good fight with this giant-sized LEGO DC adventure!"

I don't know about your kids, but my girls love all things LEGO.  From building with their thousands and thousands of LEGO pieces and kits -- minus the ones I find myself stepping on in the dark (ouch!) to all the fun adventure-filled LEGO movie releases, my girls can't get enough of LEGO. So, when they found out we were going to watch LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters, they couldn't be more happier as they both love Shazam, and couldn't wait to see how he would be as a LEGO super hero.

We all enjoyed the movie, and can't wait to watch it again soon. As soon as the movie was over, my girls grabbed their tubs of LEGO pieces and started to make their own Shazam LEGO guy along with monsters, so that they could act out their favorite parts from the movie.  They would have stayed up all night playing and building with their LEGO creations if I let them. But, I told them they had all week to enjoy LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters, the fun Batman led Super Hero Training video which they wanted to watch again, and get creative with LEGO and paper crafts as they enjoy Week 1 Super Hero Week of Camp Warner Bros.  And, I know they will be even more excited when I share that next week will be all about Steven Universe: The Movie, and they will be making DIY Crystal Gems, too!  So, be on the lookout next week for my Week 2 Camp Warner Bros. blog post and social shares, to join in the fun, too!

I hope you and your family have a blast this week getting your Super Hero Training on with none other than Batman, and that you enjoy LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters, which is now available to own on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital.  It really is a fun movie and one that the whole family will enjoy, time and time again.
