The Epic Animated Adventure About an Aspiring Soccer Star, Who Happens to Be a Mole

Arrives on DVD and Digital on April 7 from Indican Pictures

With a few more weeks of staying home to stay safe from the Covid 19 virus, I wanted to keep you all in the loop of fun new movies releasing to Digital, that you can watch with your whole family.  Arriving on DVD and Digital this upcoming Tuesday, April 7th, is a unique and oh so fun stop motion animation movie called STRIKE, which is from producer Edward Catchpole (“Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends” series & “Bob the Builder) and including the voice of Lizzie Waterworth (“Bob the Builder”).  This heartwarming, coming of age story is perfect for families with kids of all ages.  This afternoon, we sat down as a family to watch this movie, and by the end, everyone was smiling, as we thoroughly enjoyed the movie.  Usually it is hit or miss with stop motion animation movies, as my girls are used to animated movies, but I have to say that I was impressed not only with the story line of this Dove-approved film, but the stop motion animation of this film really made for a unique and oh so fun viewing experience. You will notice the difference in animation style from the start, but will find yourself getting hooked on the movie in the first few minutes, and want to sit and see how the film ends.  Like my family, you will be rooking for Mungo, hoping he achieves his soccer dreams.  Don't worry, I will not spoil the ending. :-)

Here is more about STRIKE, which like I mentioned above, arrives on Digital and DVD from Indican Pictures this upcoming Tuesday, April 7th.  And, be sure to read to the end, as I am offering 5 lucky readers the chance to win a digital code for this movie, so that you can enjoy it time and time again with your family. :-)

Synopsis:

"Dove approved for all ages, Strike is a heart-warming, coming-of-age story following Mungo

Morrison (Lizzie Waterworth, “Bob the Builder”) as he struggles to save his family and community, while also trying to achieve his dream of representing his country in soccer during the Wild Cup in Russia.

Mungo is a young mole who is due to begin work by his proud father's side in their hometown's legendary gold mine. While his best friends are excited to be in the mine, Mungo secretly dreams of becoming a professional soccer player. However, desperate not to upset his father and facing the challenge of being a small mole unable to play soccer in bright light, Mungo sadly resigns himself to life as a miner. But, when the mine is forced to shut down after a mysterious accident, an evil and gold-obsessed supervillain, known only as 'The Boss' (Ken Stott, “The Hobbit” franchise) attempts to bully the townsfolk into selling him the mine. Against all odds and with a little help from his crazy friends, Mungo begins an epic adventure of thrills, laughs, action and danger as he hurtles towards the Wild Cup finals in Russia and has a final showdown with 'The Boss.'"
