4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Combo Packs Arrive May 19 with a Limited Edition Comic Book**

It has been awhile since I have seen Jim Carey in a movie. So, when I saw the previews for Sonic the Hedgehog prior to it being released in theaters, I knew it was a movie the whole family would want to see.  We all love video game playing and comedies, and my husband and I are really big Jim Carey fans.  My girls love Sonic, and had this top on their watch list.  Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the theater when it released, so have been eagerly awaiting its arrival to digital and DVD so that we could finally watch it. And, thankfully, the wait was finally over this past Friday, when I was sent a screener of the movie, thanks to the kind folks at Paramount Home Entertainment.

Prior to the movie, I printed out some fun coloring and activity sheets for the girls to do, and then surprised them with the movie.  They both smiled when the movie begin and realized what they were sitting down for.  They knew it was releasing to digital, but I kept telling them we would wait until it was on DVD to watch, that way they could watch at home and in the car.  So, they were really surprised when they saw it playing on the television, knowing it had only released to digital.  From the moment the moment the movie started, right up until the very end, my whole family couldn't take their eyes of the screen.  There was so much action and adventure mixed in with a lot of comedic scenes, that it made for a great family movie to watch.  By the time the credits started to roll, my cheeks were sore from laughing so much. And, before I could ask the girls what they thought of the movie, my youngest was quick to ask if we could watch it again the next day, just in case she missed anything---but, mainly just because it was that good, and worth watching over and over again.

Don't worry, I am not going to give away any spoilers or go into details about the movie, as I know many families are looking for new movies to share with their kids while stuck at home. The last thing I want to do is ruin the ending, or tell too much, as I wouldn't want that for a film my family has been eagerly awaiting its arrival to home movie release.  What I will say, though, is that we thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was definitely a movie that both kids and adults will enjoy.  I didn't have to worry about covering my girls' ears or eyes at certain points in the movie due to inappropriate language, nor did I have to explain what was going on, as they were both able to understand the plot line and follow the story on their own. Both of my girls give this movie two thumbs up, and can't wait to watch it again...for the 4th time! :-)  If you are looking for a great family-friendly movie as the weekend approaches, I highly recommend Sonic the Hedgehog, now available on Digital, and arriving soon to 4K Ultra, Blu-ray and DVD on May 19th.
