Mill Creek Entertainment kicked off the New Year with the Complete Series debut of “THE MINDY PROJECT” which is now available in its entirety as of January 14, 2020, on Blu-ray and DVD -- Yes, you get all 117 episodes, across the show’s 6-season run! :-)

More about The Mindy Project:
"Dr. Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) is a talented obstetrician navigating the tricky waters of her chaotic personal life as she pursues her dreams of becoming the perfect woman, finding happiness and getting her perfect romantic comedy ending.

Watch the first 5 minutes of the pilot episode now :-)

Mindy shares a practice with three doctors, none of whom makes life any easier for her.  There’s Dr. Danny Castellano (Chris Messina) whose on-again-off-again romance with Mindy keeps the office staff on their toes, Dr. Jeremy Reed (Ed Weeks), the office’s managing partner and resident punching bag, and Dr. Peter Prentice (Adam Palley), a high-fiving former frat boy, who knows nothing about the opposite sex, but insists on doling out relationship advice to Mindy.  Rounding out the ensemble is ex-con-turned-nurse Morgan Tookers (Ike Barinholtz), the gossipy Tamra (Xosha Roquemore) and the grumpy Beverly (Beth Grant)."

I first started watching this show when it aired on FOX, as I was a fan of Mindy Kaling's when she played Kelly Kapoor on the popular The Office series.  She was a riot on that show, and I knew anything she was going to do next was also going to be funny and worth watching.  And, I was right.  The Mindy Project received numerous awards and nominations over its 6 season run including being the recipient of numerous awards (Critics’ Choice, Gracie, Satellite) and nominations (People’s Choice, Writer’s Guild, Teen Choice, NAACP Image) for Best Comedy Series!  After the first 3 season on FOX, The Mindy Project was picked up by Hulu and ran for Seasons 4-6.  It was one of the first major network series to be continued on a digital platform. And, upon its arrival to Hulu, it gained more followers, and continued to be a hit until its final episode aired.

I have been waiting for the complete series to arrive on Blu-ray and DVD, so that I could pick up and start watching it again from the very beginning.  My husband started watching the series with me when it was picked up on Hulu, so he missed the first 3 seasons. I  told him that once the complete series came out, we would get and binge watch all over again, right from the start, and he could see what he missed.  Thanks to the folks at Mill Creek Entertainment, we now get to do just that. After the girls go to bed each night, we have been watching a few episodes.  While we have not watched all 117 episodes yet, we are almost through the third season, and loving all the laugh out loud episodes.  And once we are done watching all the episodes, we will be watching the deleted scenes and gag reel, which are an added bonus to the recent Blu-ray and DVD complete series releases.

While most people think of chocolates and flowers as proper gift ideas for Valentine's Day, why not think outside the box, and gift that special someone with the new The Mindy Project: The Complete Series on Blu-ray or DVD?  This is one of those gifts that lasts long after the flowers die, and the chocolate is eaten, and can be enjoyed during an at home date night, or when you want to snuggle up with that special someone after a long day and get in a few laughs, before you drift off to bed.  My husband and I love watching The Mindy Project, and it gives us something to look forward to each night, after a long day.
