Turn Your Pet's Picture Into a One of a Kind Renaissance Masterpiece with Crown and Paw - A Great Gift Idea for Pet Lovers! (Review)

Before we welcomed our two girls, my husband and I rescued dogs from shelters from all over that needed forever homes.  I had dogs as a child, but it wasn't until I was grown and out on my own, that I truly learned the unconditional love a pet offers, and how they can be considered your fur baby.  Some people look at their pets as their own children, as they truly are an important part of the family, and bring so much joy, just like our children do.  That is how my husband and I felt when we rescued our first dog together.  We spoiled Manny, our Lhasa Apso mix like crazy.  When the holidays rolled around, Santa would make a special stop at our condo to fill the tree with presents for Manny to unwrap, as well as fill his stocking that hung off the fireplace mantle next to ours.  While other family and friends were sending out holiday greeting cards with their family photos or pictures of their kids, I always made cards with photos of our dogs to send off.  :-)  As the years went by, we rescued more dogs so that they could live out the remainder of their lives loved and protected.  And, once we welcomed our two girls , they too felt the unconditional love a pet can bring, as their furbabies would sit and watch over for us.  My girls both love animals, especially dogs, and love snuggling up with our last remaining rescue pup.  They felt the loss of a pet last Christmas when they lost a pet for the first time. But, through that loss, their compassion only grew stronger, and they both more than ever love saving up their money to donate to animal rescues, donate toys and treats around the holiday, and can't wait until they get older and are on their own to rescue their own animals to give them forever homes.

This year, I was looking for a fun gift idea to give the family that we could cherish for years to come, and my search led me to Crown and Paw, which turns your pet's photo into a one of a kind renaissance masterpiece fit for displaying next to your family's and children's school photos.

We have a whole wall in our living room filled with portraits and canvas pictures of the girls.  But, when I went to look at it recently, I found that we didn't have any photos of just our rescue dogs. Yes, they were in photos with the girls, but we didn't have any stand alone photos of them through the years. This got me thinking why we didn't take time to taking and creating photos of our pets, to display on the walls.  And, that is how I came across Crown and Paw.

About Crown and Paw:

"This holiday season, turn a favorite picture of your pet into a one of a kind renaissance masterpiece with Crown and Paw pet portraits! These portraits are a unique way for pet owners to express their love, adoration, and even their obsessiveness, with their beloved pets.

Crown and Paw curates authentic 19th century portraits and rare Renaissance era oil paintings and digitally combines them with your pet photo, creating an incredibly life like work of art. Simply choose a costume, upload a photo and a talented team of artists will do the rest to capture your pet’s individual characteristics and facial features to express their unique personality. "

I reached out to Crown and Paw, and they graciously offered to create a one of a kind portrait of our beloved Milly, a daschund chi mix.  All I had to do was upload a photo of her to their website, and they did the rest.  I will say I was fussing with the photo taking at first, as I wanted to get a good photo of her.  But, if you have tried to take photos of pets, then you know they, like kids, don't like posing for photos, and will using move about.  So, after a few minutes of racing around the house and throwing treats down to her to snap a photo, I enlisted my husband's help to hold her.  At first I was afraid that with him being in the photo that it would be an issue, but when I spoke with customer service at Crown and Paw they said it would be fine.

This is the photo I sent to Crown and Paw for the portrait

Within a week of sending off my photo to them, we received our portrait in the mail. OMG! we were all blown away at how gosh darn cute the portrait came out.

Just seeing the example photos on the website, we had no idea of what our photo with our dog would look like. So, it was nice to see it up close and see this one of a kind work of art, that was worthy of being front and center in amongst the family photos on the wall in our living room.

Now, whenever we walk into the room, my family and I can't help but stop and admire the Crown and Paw portrait of our dog, and I know that when family and friends come to visit for the holidays, my girls will be quick to show them the portrait for them to admire.  It really is a masterpiece to behold. :-)

If you are a pet lover, or have someone on your holiday shopping that is, and are looking for unique, one-of-a-kind gift idea for the holidays, look no further than Crown and Paw pet portraits.  Pricing starts at only $29.95 and go us, depending on the portrait size (8"x10" up to 16"x24"), with an option for canvas or poster portraits, too!
