I love how this company is run by a husband and wife -- I don't think I could work day in and day out with my husband...could you? :-) Well, maybe if we were making hot sauces and trying them out in the kitchen. I could let him taste the extra hot sauces for me, without him knowing. Just kidding! My husband would love that as he is all about the hotter the hot sauce, the better. He was the one who turned me onto using hot sauce, as it is a staple on our table next to ketchup for the kids. I have learned over the years that you can add a few drops (or more) on food for a kick, or if you want to add a little spice or bite to a sauce or dish, I like to add a little hot sauce in while I am cooking up food in the kitchen.
The kind folks at Gindo's Spice of Life sent along their 5TH ANNUAL GHOST OF CHRISTMAS HOT SAUCE SERIES for my to sample, and I couldn't wait to open up the box and have a little taste of each. At first, I didn't want to open the box, as I love how it came boxed and with the ribbons -- it was ready to put under the tree and be gifted.
But, knowing that there was hot sauce in there, I just to open it. I also knew that my husband would want to try this hot sauce, too. After first hearing about Gindo's Spice of Life a couple weeks ago, and putting in my sample request, I have been talking all about their different hot sauces available, as well as their monthly hot sauce subscription service. My husband and I have always wanted to sign up for a monthly subscription box like this, so that we could try new hot sauces each month. And, after trying the different hot sauces that made up the 5TH ANNUAL GHOST OF CHRISTMAS HOT SAUCE SERIES, I have to say, I am ready to sign my husband and I up as a gift from Santa for their monthly subscription service, as we LOVED all the hot sauces.
Usually when you get a hot sauce gift box like this one, you find yourself with one favorite of the bunch. But, that was not the case with the 5TH ANNUAL GHOST OF CHRISTMAS HOT SAUCE SERIES. My husband and I tried our hardest to rank the three hot sauces that came in the gift box set, but it was so hard, as they were all unique in their flavor, and we so good! We tried out the hot sauces with tortilla chips, and then worked our way up to using it on street tacos I made the other night, followed by a chicken tortilla stew tonight for dinner. These hot sauces really elevated the flavor of the dishes I made, giving them an added kick of heat, making it even better.
