"From Grammy winner Michael W. Smith comes Merry Christmas, Nighty Night, a cute and cuddly padded board book in the familiar, soothing cadence of the Clement Moore classic poem “The Night Before Christmas” that tells the story of the Nighty Nights helping their friends Cole and Rose snuggle in for a silent night on Christmas Eve."

My girls still believe in Santa and always try and stay up late on Christmas Eve in hopes of catching a glimpse of him coming down the chimney.  And, even though they go to bed late that night, they are wide up before the sun rises on Christmas Day to race down the stairs and see what surprises he has left under the tree for them.  This year, I will be sharing a cute board book with them on Christmas Eve, to help lull them to sleep, even though they fight it due to all the excitement of the holidays.

This new board book is part story, part lullaby that both kids and adults will enjoy reading together.  I read this book myself the other day, as I want to keep it a surprise for my girls for Christmas Eve, as it is going to be in their special Christmas Eve box they get from Santa each year.  I really liked the flow of the story and all the cute and colorful illustrations that fill the pages of this lullaby holiday book.  The illustrations really help bring the cute story to life and will hopefully get your little to wind down and get ready for a "Silent Night."  I highly recommend this book, and can't wait to read it to my girls, this year and for more Christmas Eve's to come.  I know you and your kids will love this book, too!

About this book:

"It’s so hard to fall asleep on Christmas Eve! Lucky for Cole and his sister, Rose, the Nighty Nights have a special Christmas song to have them dreaming and sleeping in no time. This snuggly story is the one parents and grandparents turn to when their little ones are having trouble falling sleep.

Merry Christmas, Nighty Night follows the familiar rhythm of the classic Clement Moore poem “The Night Before Christmas” to tell this gentle, musical, heartwarming story that captures the wonder of Christmas Eve while helping little ones settle in for a cozy “Silent Night.”

This cute (and sleepy) adventure leads Cole and Rose to discover that when you’re having trouble falling asleep, a Christmas lullaby might just do the trick.

Founded by Michael W. Smith, Nurturing StepsTM is an infant and toddler series of children’s music and books with a simple mission to enliven a child’s journey with hope and faith through music and storytelling.

“May I wait by the tree for my presents instead?”“No, Cole,” his mom answered, as she handed him Bear. Then she kissed him goodnight and helped him say prayers.
