Did you see Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark when it was in theaters this summer?  My husband and I really wanted to see it, but we decided to hold off and wait for it to arrive on Blu-ray or DVD and watch closer to Halloween.  I don't know about you, but I love watching scary/horror movies around Halloween.  It is a great way to get in the spirit of holiday, and makes for a fun in-home date night with your honey, as you get to snuggle close.

Thanks to the folks at Lionsgate Home Entertainment, they were kind enough to send along an advance screener of the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark for me to check out.  My husband and I couldn't wait to watch over the weekend, and we so glad the wait was over for this movie.  After its' summer release, we had so many family and friends telling us how great it was it, and how it is a must see scary movie, that will leave you spooked.

If you missed the movie in theaters or weren't aware of it, here is more about Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, which is available now on Digital, and will be arriving to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 5th.  With Halloween two days away, buying it on Digital, would be the way to go, if you are looking for a scary movie to watch with family and friends, while you wait for the trick or treaters to come, or when you turn the lights out for the night.

It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley, where for generations the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time. For a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home, the stories become all too real in this spine-tingling film.

Take home Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and immerse yourself in the terrifying world with exclusive special features, including six featurettes on the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital releases and two featurettes on the DVD looking at the development of the creepiest creatures in the film, as well as the process of taking these classic tales from page to screen!  Experience four times the resolution of full HD with the 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, which includes Dolby Vision, bringing entertainment to life through ultra-vivid picture quality. When compared to a standard picture, Dolby Vision can deliver spectacular colors never before seen on a screen, highlights that are up to 40 times brighter, and blacks that are 10 times darker.

The Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $42.99, $39.99, and $29.95, respectively."

Doesn't this look like an amazing scary movie?  My husband and I really enjoyed this movie, and I have to admit I jumped and flinched a few times during the movie, after getting spooked.  And, when we were done watching this movie, we checked out all the featurettes that make up the bonus content and enjoyed those, too!  If you love seeing how movies like this come together then you will definitely want to check out the bonus featurettes.

I could go on and on about this super scary movie, but why not order it on Digital now, and see it for yourself.  Just be warned, this is one of those scary movies you will not want to watch alone.  And, it also one horror movie you will want to watch time and again.  My husband and I plan to watch it again Halloween evening after all the trick or treaters are in bed, and the wind is howling.
