Sandra Boynton’s Oversized Lap Edition of "EEK! Halloween!" Will Become a Favorite Halloween Book for Little Ones! (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent a review copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

One of the first children's authors I introduced my girls to through bedtime reading books was Sandra Boynton.  If this popular, best-selling children's author may sound familiar to you, it is probably because you were read some of her books as a kid, or if you go to your child's bookcase, you will find a handful or more of her books amongst your child's collection.  I grew up listening to my mom reading me Sandra's books, and am so happy I was able to continue the tradition by sharing her books with my girls, including her "EEK! Halloween!" book which is available in standard board book size, as well as an over-sized board book.

Thanks to the folks at Workman Publishing, they sent along the oversized board book for me for to share with my girls. Once my girls saw this book arrive in the mail, they were all smiles, as they saw the author and knew they were in for a treat. :-)  I, too, was excited as I really love this author's holiday themed books, and by the illustrations I saw while flipping through the book, I knew the story would be a cute one.  My girls and I snuggled up close on the couch and read this book, and by the time we got to the last page, both of my girls almost in unison asked me to read it again.  They both loved, and wanted to not only hear the fun story again, but also take a little bit more time to take in all the cute illustrations that fill the pages of this over-sized board book, which really do bring the Halloween-themed story to life.

If you have little ones and are looking for a fun bedtime book to read as Halloween nears, then you will want to check out Sandra Boynton's "EEK! Halloween!" available now.  You can learn more about this and other fun Halloween-themed books from Workman Publishing by visiting https://www.workman.com.

More about this book:

"It’s the return of super-sized Boynton books!

Sandra Boynton’s children’s titles sell big, and now a Halloween favorite just got a little bigger. With their appealing 8 ½" x 9 ¼" format and sturdy board construction, Boynton Lap Books are easy for little fingers to grasp and the perfect size for parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, not to mention preschool teachers, childcare providers, and librarians, to read aloud during story time.

And those classic Boynton illustrations practically jump off the page. In Eek! Halloween! those chickens are nervous! “WHAT’S GOING ON HERE? WHAT DOES IT MEAN? / Relax, silly chickens! It’s HALLOWEEN!”"
