The Mini Medical Kits from Little Medical School Will Expose and Inspire Kids to Look into Careers in Healthcare Through Hands-On Learning Activities (All Supplies Included) and Imaginative Role Play - Ideal for Kids Ages 6+ (Review) #LMSInspire #LMSFun #Tryazon

If you follow my blog, then you know that I homeschool my girls, and have been since they graduated a pre-school program in our area.  My plan is to continue to homeschool them through their entire schooling, and get them ready to apply for and attend a 4-year college.  What I love most about homeschooling my girls, next to being with them every day and watching them grow and learn new things, is that they can learn at their own pace and are able to choose electives and additional studies based on their hobbies and likes.  They wouldn't be able to do this if they were attending public school.  Take for instance this past year, the girls both wanted to learn how to kayak and sail, so they attend a semester long course that had them out on the water for a few hours a week, learning water and boat safety, as well as learning how to properly sail and kayak. It was one of their favorite classes to date, and one they continue to tell their friends and family about.  They can't wait for the fall to roll around, as they will continue with their sailing classes, and learn more things, and see their sailing friends again.

Classes like sailing, home economics, and nature studies, which make up electives for our homeschooling, are all hands-on learning.  I have found since I began homeschooling my girls, that they are both hands-on learners, and work and learn better when they have manipulatives and have hands-on learning experiences.  This is another thing that is limited in public schools, and really shouldn't be overlooked, especially with the early years, as kids really benefits from play, including imaginative and group play.

Being a big supporter of hands on learning, I was excited when I was contacted by the folks at Tryazon to host a Little Medical Kits party, to showcase their products. Before the party, I had never experienced their product line, but had read wonderful things about their veterinarian and pediatrician kits.  So, I was eager to get my hands on the two kits, and share with my girls, as well as homeschool families we do meetups and co-op learning with.

Once the two kits arrived, the girls and I played around with the kids to familiarize ourselves with the contents. I was amazed at how much stuff is included with the kits, including a real working stethoscope, which was an instant hit with my two girls.

They took turns hearing each other's heart beat, as well as breathing.  And, no pediatrician kit is complete without a white doctor's coat, and this one is better than all the other imagination play doctor kits we have own and used over the years.

I truly was impressed with the content, and couldn't wait to see how the girls played with each and every thing in the two kits.

The girls started off playing with the "How to be a pediatrician" kit, and loved how the kit came with a baby for them to practice. Usually they would practice on each other, and giggle half the time, or have to find dolls or plush bears to be patients.

But, having this cute baby doll made the imaginative play seem more real, and got them engaged right from the start.

This Little Medical School ® “CLASSROOM IN A BOX” offers aspiring pediatricians a wide variety of hands-on and educational activities. The HOW TO BE A PEDIATRICIAN KIT can be enjoyed multiple times with five separate activities:

  • A Baby Is Born
  • Change A Diaper
  • Examine Your Baby
  • Make A Safe Bed
  • Swaddle Your Baby
Students conclude their activities with a graduation ceremony and diploma.

This kit is designed for children (6+) and can be used independently or with adult supervision.

Included in kit:

  • Little Medical School ® White Lab Coat
  • Real Working Stethoscope
  • Pediatric assessment form
  • Student Doctor ID Badge
  • Premium Plush Baby
  • Removable Diaper
  • Diaper Wipe
  • Dry-Erase Markers
  • Activity Sheets
  • Baby ID Bracelet
  • Birth/Adoption Certificate
  • Tape Measure
  • Little Medical School ® Diploma
  • Workbook

I like how these kits include reusable activities for kids to complete over and over again, in addition to all the real doctor's tools.  The kit really gives kids of all ages an idea of what a pediatrician does and the types of things they are known to do in their occupation.  Even though my girls don't plan to become a pediatrician (one wants to be a veterinarian and the other a history teacher), they did enjoy this kit.  And, when we hosted our homeschool friends, I kept hearing rave reviews from the moms about the kits, and what things their kids liked.  The parents, like me really liked how the kits came with real tools, and all the activities were spelled out, so kids could start playing and pretending to a pediatrician right out of the box.  There was no additional supplies parents had to gather to make for a more enjoyable play experience.

I loved watching the kids, whose ages ranged from 3 to 9 years old, changing the baby's diaper, learning how to swaddle, and giving the baby a check up.  They all got into the hands-on activities and were smiling and having a blast.  They could have spent the entire day just playing with the "How to b a Pediatrician" kit, but I wanted to also have time to introduce the "How to Be a Veterinarian" kit to them, so had them put the kit and its contents aside, until the end, when both kits and supplies were out for the kids to go back to.

Just like with the pediatrician kit, this "How to be a Veterinarian" kit comes with a real working stethoscope, as well as  a plush dog to practice on, and a bunch of other fun veterinarian supplies and re-usable activities.

The kids all loved the plush dog, and couldn't wait to snuggle with it, before wanting to jump in and play vet, to find out why the little guy was sick.

My oldest daughter was really excited about this imaginative hands-on play kit the moment she saw it,  as she loves animals, especially dogs, and wants to be a veterinarian one day.

After playing with this hands-on learning kit with her friends, she is even more determined to pursue this career path, as are some of her animal-loving friends.

Both of these kids were well put together, and you could tell a lot of time and emphasis went into thinking about what supplies and activities should be included in each.  I had asked the moms after introducing both kits and having the kids and mom play around with them, if there were other activities they would have loved to have seen included in the kits, and it was unanimous that they couldn't think of anything else.

The kids loved putting on and pulling off ticks on the cuddly pup...

They were both well put together and kept the kids, of all ages, engaged from the start.  It was nice to just sit back with the group of homeschool moms who had gathered at my house, watching the kids play together with the two Little Medical School kits.

We all loved seeing the kids get into character and role play, and really use their creativity and imagination.

The moms in attendance all know the importance of hands-on learning, and are always on the lookout for kits like this to pick up for their kids to enjoy, and to use with their schooling.  Before they left the party, many of the moms had ordered these two kits, as well as the Sports Surgeon Kit, for their kids to continue playing with at home.

And, I know that the moms who didn't purchase the kits, planned to once they were home.  The kits are really affordable at only $29.99, and with all the supplies and activities included with each, you are getting a great deal!  I could go on and on raving about these Little Medical School Kits, but instead, why don't you check them out for yourself, with your kids, and see for yourself why I and all the other moms I had over LOVED these kits, and wanted to buy them for their kids to enjoy.
