If you have little ones who love to play kitchen or pretend bake for you, then you will want to check out the Perfectly Cute Ice Cream Delight Set from JAKKS Pacific.  It is available at Target for only $14.99, as well as other toy retailers and over at Amazon.

Thanks to the kind folks at JAKKS Pacific, they set this adorable pretend play set for my girls to help me review.  Even though the recommended age is 3+, my girls were still excited to try it and play with it.  They have a couple different kitchen play sets in the house, but surprising don't have an ice cream set like this, especially one that has magically changing ice cream. :-)  This is what caught my youngest daughter's attention, when she read, "Coloring-changing Ice Cream!" on the front of the package.  She wondered how this worked, and couldn't wait to tear open the package to find out, and then play with the ice cream delight set with her sister.

This pretend play ice cream set includes the following:

  • 4 color-changing ice cream scoops
  • 1 cone
  • 1 scooper
  • 3 cookies
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 squeeze bottle

You really do get a lot in this pretend set for only $14.99.  Plus, with the added coloring-changing feature, it adds to the fun kids will have when they play with this ice cream delight set, making you sweet desserts to enjoy. :-)    And, once you take the pieces from this set out of the package, you will find that like all other JAKKS Pacific toys, this is made very well, and not flimsy like many of the pretend kitchen and other role play sets for little ones.

So, I know you want to does the ice cream change color...right? :-)  All you have to do is add cold water to the squeeze bottle and squeeze onto the scoops, for a fun color change surprise.  When your kids are done playing, all you have to do is dry with a kitchen towel/paper towel.  And, to clean, simply use a damp cloth.  There are no paper labels attached to the toys so you don't have to worry about them coming off during use, after kids apply the water for the fun coloring changing experience.

My girls really enjoyed playing with the Ice Cream Delight Set, and it kept them busy for hours. I loved seeing them play nice together, as they role played with this sweet desserts set from the Perfectly Cute line from JAKKS Pacific.  While I was in the kitchen cooking up dinner, the girls tasked themselves with making dessert, which was ice cream. :-)  My husband came home and the girls were quick to hand him an ice cream cone.  At first he thought it was real, as he said it looked so realistic.  But, then my youngest came running with the squirt bottle and told him to watch, as she made the scoops change color. :-)

Realistic and adorable designs make for perfect open-ended play!

So, why not skip all that candy this Easter and pick up this cute Ice Cream Delight Set.
