Last Minute Gift Ideas: Check Out These Three Book Box Sets for Kids Who Love Mysteries and Adventure Books -- Perfect for Beginner and Middle-Grade Readers (Review)

Disclosure:  I was sent a review copy from the vendor in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

I started my annual holiday gift guide back at the end of October with some new fall children's releases and holiday books that were worth grabbing to add to your family's book advent (or to use to start this fun holiday tradition), so it is only fitting 350+ product reviews/features later, I finish my gift guide with a few more children's book reviews. They would make for great last minute non-toy gifts to pick up and leave under the tree for your kids.  And, what better way to welcome in 2019, than with a stack of fun books for your kids to read and enjoy. :-)

Recently, I was sent a few box sets from the folks at IPG that are perfect for beginner and middle-grade chapter book readers.  My girls have loved reading them, and now have new series they want to pick up more books from to enjoy in the year.  Here is more about these box sets, which are available at most major book retailers, as well as over at Amazon.com.  You can order books right now from Amazon and still get them in time for Christmas if you have a Prime Membership.  And, I saw tonight when ordering a few more books for my girls that they have been asking for, that Amazon is doing a great book promotion: Save $5.00 on orders $20.00+ -- Use promo code GIFTBOOK18 to save $5.00 when you spend $20.00 or more on Books shipped and sold by Amazon.com. Here's how (restrictions apply).  With this extra savings you have not to pick up these or some of the other children's books I have reviewed/featured over the past couple of days.  ACT FAST THIS PROMOTION ENDS 12/21/18.

Here is more about the three box sets I was sent, that would make great last minute gift ideas..

As you can probably make out by the three box set cover arts and synopsis' above, these books are great for middle-grade readers who love books featuring animals (especially cats and dogs) and that have readers going on adventures and helping to solve mysteries. My girls are all about detective-style chapter books like these, and they are hard to come by at our local library.  So, it is easier and cheaper to buy box sets like these, so that the girls can read them, pass along to each and then to friends to enjoy, and then read again when they want to solve a good mystery.

The characters in each of these box sets are well developed by the author and the story lines are separate from the previous books, so you don't have to worry about starting at book 1 or missing out on a back story if you start with a later book in the series.

There wasn't a book or box set from the ones mentioned above that my girls didn't enjoy reading.  Each of the stories moved along well, and kept my girls engaged from start to finish.  They loved seeing the friendship between the characters and how they had to work together if they wanted to solve the mystery at hand.

If adventure books are what your kids love, then they will most definitely love these box sets from IPG.  My girls wanted me to let you know that the Urgency Emergency! box set came with 100+ stickers featuring characters and scenes from the stories.  They thought this was neat, and used the story to create additional stories they thought up together, based on the type of adventures Dr. Glenda and Nurse Percy find themselves in at City Hospital.  The Lulu's Animal Adventure box set also comes with more than 75 stickers, too, making it a great gift idea for animal book and sticker fans. :-)

I could go on and on about how great each of these books are, or ruin the endings of each, but I will not do that.  I just wanted to make you aware of these great box sets that would make for great last minute gifts for your kids, and also share the amazing $5 off a $20+ book purchase over at Amazon.  You can score these great books for your kids that they will love, as well as save $$.  What is better than that! :-)
