Catch Up on Missed Episodes of the Popular Fox Medical Drama, The Resident with the Complete Season One, Available Now on DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (Review)

I love when I ask friends online what shows to watch after binge-watching a show or series with my husband.  Last month after finishing a few new series' season one episodes, I ask friends to recommend a good medical drama, and more than half of the responses were for The Resident.  I remember watching the first few episodes and liking it, but then the craziness of life got in the way and I forgot to tune in each week, and didn't set my DVR to record the episodes, so I could go back and watch at another time.

After having people mention how great this series is, and how they can't wait for more episodes of this popular Fox series, which airs Mondays at 8/7 Central, I looked online to see if you could buy the complete season one on DVD.  I was happy to see that the folks at Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment released a 3-Disc set, containing all 14 full-length episode from the first season of this popular new series.  I reached out to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, and they kindly sent this 3-disc set for review. And, for the past week, my husband and I have been binge-watching the first season of The Resident.  Just be warned if you plan to binge-watch this new DVD-set, you will need to set aside 10.25 hours of time to watch each and every episode.  We ended up breaking up our viewing over 5 days, and watched a few episodes a night.

If you love medical dramas shows like ER and that, then you will love The Resident, which stars Matt Czuchry from The Good Wife, along with Emily VanCamp from Brothers and Sisters and Everwood.  I am a huge fan of Emily VanCamp, and this is what drew me to check out the series when it first aired. But, like I said, life got busy and I missed enough episodes that I didn't think I could tune and catch up, or know what was going on.  But, thanks to the this recent 3-Disc set, my husband and I are now caught up, and can now watch the new season 2 episodes I recorded.  The new season kicked off on Sept. 24th, and this upcoming Tuesday will be the 4th episode for Season 2.

SYNOPSIS:

"Starring Matt Czuchry (The Good Wife), The Resident is a powerful new medical drama that focuses on the final years of a young doctor’s training and rips back the curtain to reveal both the good and the bad in hospitals across the country."
