DISH News: WATCH 4K ULTRA HD MOVIES FROM EPIX ON DISH

First Premium TV Network to Stream Movies in 4K Ultra HD

"America loves 4K. We love it so much that 4K Ultra HD televisions will make up half of all total digital displays sold this year in the United States. That’s why DISH is working hard to get more 4K content into customers’ homes as it becomes available – so you can maximize the potential of your TV.
As part of this effort, DISH is adding EPIX’s 4K UHD movies to its on-demand programming lineup, becoming the first pay-TV provider to roll out this new offering.

“While 4K televisions have become a staple in households throughout the U.S., 4K shows and movies are still a bit of a rarity,” said Vivek Khemka, DISH executive vice president and chief technology officer. “That’s why we’re continuously working to bring more of this content into our customers’ homes, and are pleased to work with EPIX so subscribers can access more TV in crystal-clear clarity, directly from their Hopper 3 and 4K Joey set-top boxes.”
If you’re a DISH customer subscribing to EPIX, you can now access select Hollywood movies in 4K UHD directly on your set-top box including, ArrivalThe Magnificent SevenStar Trek Beyond and Transformers: The Last Knight and, coming later this year, films from the James Bond franchise, including Die Another DayGoldeneyeLicense To KillTomorrow Never DiesGoldfingerFrom Russia With Love and The Spy Who Loved Me.
To watch EPIX’s 4K UHD titles on demand, you must have a Hopper 3 or 4K Joey connected to a 4K television and subscribe to EPIX a la carte ($7 per month) or the DISH Movie Pack ($10 per month). Additionally, all EPIX subscribers can access 4K UHD content through the authenticated EPIX Apple TV app.
