"Set in present day amidst the ever-growing refugee crisis and the after-effects of Brexit, Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones) and Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire) return to their roles as Karl Roebuck and Elise Wasserman in a final season that will stop hearts and leave viewers awe-struck long after the credits roll. "

While many people are binge watching shows on streaming networks, I have been catching up award-winning British crime dramas that my parents have turned me onto, and that I can pick up on DVD to watch at home and on the go.  A recent favorite show I have been binge watching is "The Tunnel" that stars Game of Thrones, Stephen Dillane" along with Clémence Poésy, who was in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II.  My parents first stumbled upon this crime drama while away in Scotland this past April.  My mother slipped and fracture her foot and ended up having to spent a lot of their 12-day trip in the hotel room.  So, they found themselves watching and getting hooked on British crime dramas, and then told me about them when we talked.  They wanted to know if they could pick up DVDs and catch up on past series, and after looking online I was able to pick up season 1 and 2 through Amazon, and had Season 3 sent to me from the kind folks at PBS Distribution.

I started watching the “THE TUNNEL: VENGEANCE SEASON 3” as my parents' raving about this crime drama peaked my interest and I was curious to see what it was all about.  And, after watching the entire third season, I couldn't wait for my parents to finish watching the previous two season DVDs I bought for them, so that I could go back and play catch up, and see how this crime drama started, now that I knew the ending. :-)  If you love crime dramas, especially British ones, then you will love the show, "The Tunnel".  Once you start watching the first episode you will see why so many people love this show and why it has won many awards.

Here is more about this recent DVD release, which arrived in stores and on digital download on last week, July 17th:

"PBS Distribution announced today that it is releasing the third season of the multi-award winning British crime drama, “THE TUNNEL: VENGEANCE SEASON 3” on DVD and Digital HD.  The emotional final season of the critically acclaimed bilingual crime thriller reunites Stephen Dillane (“Game of Thrones”) in his International Emmy Award-winning role as Karl Roebuck with Clémence Poésy (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II”) as Elise Wassermann for their last outing as the beloved and unlikely Anglo-French duo.

“THE TUNNEL: VENGEANCE SEASON 3,” (SRP $49.99) will be available on DVD July 17, 2018 and has a run time of approximately 285 minutes. The program will also be available for digital download.

In “THE TUNNEL: VENGEANCE,” the investigative pair takes on a toxic and terrifying folie à deux whose mutual defining quality is an existential death wish. When the question posed by the couple – what is a life worth? – is directed straight back at Karl, he is forced to confront an utterly impossible choice that will haunt the audience long after the closing credits.

Set amidst mid-Brexit hysteria, “THE TUNNEL: VENGEANCE” tackles an escalating refugee crisis and examines the increasing threat of terror occasioned by disenfranchised, exiled souls on whom society has turned its back.

Last summer, season 2, “THE TUNNEL: SABOTOGE” had 1.1 million streams across PBS digital platforms, making it one of the most-streamed drama limited series on PBS. (Source: Google Analytics).
