My girls have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of our review copy of ARCHIE 2: MISSION IMPAWSIBLE.  It finally arrived yesterday, and it was definitely worth the wait.  Usually we wait until Fridays to watch movies, but with all the rain and thunder we were having last night, I thought it would be nice to watch this cute family-friendly movie and get the girls' mind off the storm outside.  My oldest is not a fan of thunder and lightning, and was getting a little anxious trying to keep busy, while also trying to ignore what she was hearing outside.  But, thanks to this movie, she totally forgot about the storm, while she enjoyed this fun movie, featuring the cutest dog on the planet. :-)

Here is more about A.R.C.H.I.E. 2: Mission Impawsible, if you haven't heard about this movie:

"In this funny family adventure, the legendary Michael J. Fox plays Archie, the world’s only talking, flying robot dog! Archie tags along as his owner Sydney runs away to join a struggling family circus. But clumsy Sydney’s only hope of stardom is a fake ventriloquist act featuring his wisecracking, woofing pal. Together they’re a hit and the circus is saved—until a villain plots to steal the priceless dog and trade him for big bucks. Step right up for thrills, chills, and laughs, Archie-style!"

We hadn't watched the first A.R.C.H.I.E movie, so I wasn't sure if we would be at a disadvantage and not know what was going on.  But, as the movie started, I found we could enjoy this sequel without watching the first movie.  We will definitely be watching the first Archie movie, now that we have seen this one and loved it.  I think we have our Friday movie night movie already picked out thanks to this cute flying robotic dog.

We have seen many talking dog movies, but I have to say that this is my favorite by far.  Maybe I am partial as I love Michael J. Fox and was excited to learn that he voiced A.R.C.H.I.E., but, I think it is the storyline that really sealed the deal.    In the sequel to A.R.C.H.I.E, a young boy named Gregory (the carnival owner's son) befriends Archie, and asks for his help in finding out who has been stealing from the carnival.  Leave it to this talking and flying dog, to swoop in and help save the circus.  The movie is filled with adventure and laughs right from the start...come on, a talking dog...you wouldn't expect anything less! :-)

So, does Archie save the day?  Don't worry, I will not ruin the ending for you...you will just have to pick up this movie, available as of yesterday, July 17th, on DVD, Digital and On Demand.  I will say, it will delights kids and adults of ages, and makes for a great family movie night.  We watched it from start to finish, munching on the snacks we were sent with our viewing kit, and after the girls posed with the cute red bow and aviator glasses we were also sent.

My youngest was trying to recreate the DVD cover art, when she put the red bow around her neck and posed with her cool new shades. :-)

A.R.C.H.I.E. 2: Mission Impawsible is a hit with our family, and I know it will be yours, too.  So, what are you waiting for?  Order this movie and then gather some snacks and your family and get ready for a memorable movie night, filled with laughs and smiles, as you all enjoy Archie, the robot dog.  We are crossing our fingers for a third installment, thanks to a funny line Archie shares in the ending credits -- make sure you watch for it, and let me know what you think. :-)

And, here is a cute activity sheet you can print out and share with your children. My girls completed the sheet before we watched the movie, as I made them wait until Daddy got home so we could all watch this movie. They loved the word search and spot the difference puzzles, and it only made them more excited to watch this movie. :-)
