"JoJo Siwa: My World" Available on DVD February 6, 2018! (Review)

Nick star JoJo Siwa takes fans on her personal journey to her biggest moment ever - performing at Mall of America



It is funny (and kind of scary) how quickly kids pick up on things.  From being able to download and install programs and games on your phone or tablet, to wanting to be like young celebrities and characters from their favorite TV shows.  My youngest daughter, Bella, just turned 6 this past November, but she is more technically savvy (we didn't have computers or tablets when I was little) and stylish than I ever was at her age.  And, now her new thing is she is honing her lip syncing and dance skills so she can be on the new hit Nickelodeon show, "Lip Sync Battle Shorties," which features one of her favorite singers, Jojo Siwa.  

If you have a young child or tween in your house, then you probably know who Jojo Siwa is.  She is the Nickelodeon and YouTube signing sensation who is known for wearing big bows in her hair.  She is over the top when it comes to performing and that is what draws kids in, as in Bella's words, "She is super cool and stylish."  Now my youngest is trying to find bows just like Jojo wears in her hair, and wants to be on the lip sync battle shorties show just to meet or see Jojo up close.  I guess this is just like I was back in the day when NKOTB, Debbie Gibson and Tiffany were big.  Yes, I had their posters on my wall, and now 30+ years later, my own children have teeny bopper posters like Jojo on their walls, and want to dress and act just like them.

Yesterday was a happy mail day for Bella, as I was sent the upcoming "Jojo Siwa: My World" DVD to review.  Usually it takes me a few days to watch and review a movie I am sent, but as soon as Bella saw the DVD she kept asking to watch it.  She had this on his wish list of things to buy with her allowance, and was super excited that she was able to get her hands on a copy before it arrives in stores on February 6th.  So, after we did school -- which (I wonder why) she flew right through without complaints, we settled down to watch this DVD, which is 44 minutes in length and contains never before seen content, backstage footage from her concert and music videos your child can rock out to.  Bella was all smiles through the whole DVD viewing and was singing and dancing right along with Jojo.  She thought this DVD was the coolest thing, and couldn't stop talking about it to my husband when he got home last night.  And, we even had a Jojo encore performance of this DVD when she watched it again last night, and then again this AM.  She can't get enough of Jojo and says any Jojo Siwa fan needs this DVD, and to pre-order it today. So, don't take it from me...take it from my 6  year old daughter, this is a must have DVD for Jojo Siwa fans.
