Yesterday I shared about the amazing chocolate advent calendar perfect for adults from Ethel M. Chocolates. If you missed this post you can read it here:

In my post I shared how I was also sent some other chocolatey treats, that would make great gift ideas for the foodie, chocolate lover or even hard to shop for person in your life. Haven't you heard the saying, "Everything is made better with chocolate."  Well maybe I just made that saying up, but for me, who LOVES chocolate, I can't help but smile when I sit down to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, or sneak away to nibble on a delectable piece of chocolate.  So, whenever the holidays roll around, I make a point to have an abundance of chocolate around for friends and family who come to visit, and for me, too! :-)

I have been blogging since 2008 and have featured Ethel M. Chocolates every year since I started in gift guides and whenever they introduce a new product.  So, this year's holiday gift guide is no different.  And, this year, I got to experience not one but three new things from Ethel M. chocolate.  The first was the DYO (Design Your Own) Chocolate Advent Calendar (which I can't wait for Dec. 1st to get here to start enjoying).  I was also sent their holiday cheer double hot chocolate and a Mars bar to enjoy, along with a 16-piece holiday tin which you can also choose the chocolates varieties you want to include.

Over the years, I have sampled most of the varieties of chocolate from Ethel M. Chocolates, but I never had hot chocolate from them, or their Mars bar.  I used to love Mars bars when I was a kid, and then they went away.  Now, the folks at Ethel M. Chocolates have brought it back and it tastes even better than what I remember.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE hot chocolate.  My friends and family know that for a birthday or Christmas gift for me, I am easy to please...just get me hot chocolate.  I drink this stuff year round -- frozen and hot.  And, being a huge hot chocolate lover, I have tried enough brands and varieties in my day to know which ones are good, and which ones are great.  It is hard to get on my "great" list, but the folks at Ethel M. Chocolates have done it and are now in 1st place with their amazing and oh so decadent double hot chocolate.

Because Ethel M. Chocolates is a chocolate company I knew they would be bringing their game with their hot chocolate, but I had no idea that they would actually use real milk chocolate shavings and no fillers, like you get with other hot chocolates -- think tons of sugar and cocoa powder.  Just take a look at the way this hot chocolate comes....

I could just eat this by the spoonful and it would taste good.  But, when you add it to milk you heat up on the stove and whisk to incorporate, you are in for a real treat.

I have been enjoying this hot chocolate for the past week, and am sad to say I had my last cup tonight, as I ran out.  I told my husband, who also tried and loved this hot chocolate to make sure he gets me more for Christmas, and a little extra so I have an extra container or two in the pantry to get me through the cold winter months.

I am so happy I  had the chance to experience Ethel M. Chocolates hot chocolate, and will definitely be talking it up to family and friends this holiday season when they ask which hot chocolates are good.  Hands down, this one is the one to beat, and right now there is no competition.  My belly is growling just thinking about it.  Hopefully my husband orders soon, as I expect this hot chocolate to sell out soon.

In addition to the hot chocolate and Mars bar I was sent from Ethel M. Chocolates, they also sent me their holiday 16-piece tin, which you can design your own, meaning you can choose the different chocolate varieties to include in this cute keepsake tin.  I am a fan of nut clusters and was happy to see this collector's tin included these along with chewy caramels, satin cremes, almond butter crisps and an assortment of milk and dark chocolates.

I have been really good in not sneaking a chocolate from the Ethel M. Chocolates advent calendar I was sent, thanks in part to them also sending this tin of chocolates. When I get a crazy for a delicious piece of chocolate, I can reach for this tin and enjoy a piece.  Each and every piece of chocolate is mouth watering and full of flavor.  I am reminded each time I have a piece of chocolate from Ethel M. Chocolates, why this is my go to chocolate company for my own chocolate fix, but also when it comes to surprising family and friends with great tasting chocolates and gifts during the holidays.  Ethel M. Chocolates are top quality, and will leave you with a smile on your face, as you savor every last morsel of chocolate lingering on your tongue or in your mouth.

I could go on and on about how great Ethel M. Chocolates is, but why don't you pick up a chocolate tin or one of their other great holiday gifts to try for yourself this holiday season.  And, be sure to get a little extra as you will not want to share once you try their chocolates. :-)
