Are you a fan of the hit Discovery Channel series, Gold Rush? If you are, or you ever wondered about the whole panning for gold experience, then you will want to tune in to the new season of this hit Discovery Channel series show, which premiered back on October 13. I had the opportunity to host a Gold Rush season premiere party back on October 13 with a bunch of my family and friends in attendance. And, in addition to watching this show, I had some panning fun for all to try out, and giveaways and swag to send everyone home with, thanks to the folks at Tryazon.

Prior to my party, I was sent a huge box of Gold Rush swag and panning for gold kits, which you can order online for that Gold Rush fan in your life.
I, for one, have always been intrigued about panning and what it would be like to find a chunk of gold. And, thanks to the Gold Rush show and now having had the opportunity to try out panning with my partygoers, I can now say firsthand, how hard panning for gold really is, but, also how much fun it can be, too...especially when you find gold (big or small)! :-)
If you ever wondered about panning, here is video I shared with those in attendance at my Gold Rush party, that gave a little insight into how to properly pan for gold. You will notice that the video stars Parker Schnabel from the hit Discovery TV show Gold Rush. He will take you through the proper way to pan for gold. Just add water! This is an incredible must-see HD instructional video by an expert gold miner.
Doesn't this look like so much fun? We really had a blast taking turns panning for gold at my Gold Rush party.
Even though it may seem tedious looking for gold and getting all the dirt and debris out to find treasure, everyone at my party was laughing and having so much fun.
I will say that our eyes were playing tricks with us at times as we kept thinking we saw gold, but it was either a rock, or speck.
At the end of the night, I sent people home with their very own Gold Rush Mini Kit to take home. Each mini kit included the following:
I even crowned one partygoer gold panning champ for finding the biggest chunk of gold...which we actually weighed using the scale that was included with all the Gold Rush goodies I was sent for my party, but that you can purchase from the Pay Dirty Gold website for only $19.95.

Everyone agreed that panning for gold is tough work, but so much fun, and they were all excited to tune in to watch the season premiere of Gold Rush, which airs weekly on Discovery Channel. I, for one, can't wait to pick up more Gold Rush Pay Dirt to continue the fun with my family.
