Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Coffee Lovers from Community Coffee Company + Ideas on How to Pair This Coffee with Holiday Desserts (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in order to write up an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Coffee lovers take note.  I recently had the opportunity to sample Community Coffee Company and had fun pairing them with desserts I have been baking up for holiday parties and to serve up to family and friends who have been stopping by to visit.

Are you familiar with Community Coffee Company?

Founded in 1919, Community Coffee Company is an importer, roaster and distributor of the highest-quality premium coffees and teas, using only 100% Arabica coffee beans.

I was sent the above samples, which includes both their ground and K-Cup varieties, along with the following "Coffee and Dessert Pairing Guide," that offered suggestions for pairing some popular holiday desserts with the many different Community Coffee products available.

Make sure your meal ends on a high note this year with coffee & dessert pairings from U.S. family-owned Community Coffee Company.

After reviewing this dessert and coffee pairing list, as well as visiting the Community Coffee's  blog for recipe ideas http://www.communitycoffee.com/blog, I was inspired to get in the kitchen and make some desserts to help me sample the coffee samples I was sent.  :-)  My husband has been trying to limit his sweets intake as he knows he will be going crazy at the holidays.  But, each and every time he walked into the kitchen and smelled the freshly baked goods I was making, he gave him.  :-)  Not only did he sample what I had baked up, but he had fun trying out the different Community Coffee products I was went.  When it comes to coffee, my husband likes dark roast...the stronger and bolder, the better.  He is not one for flavored coffee.  So, I wasn't sure he would even take a sip of the "Golden Caramel" coffee the folks at Community Coffee Company sent.  But, it turns out, this ended up being his favorite of all four coffees, with the Private Reserve Louisiana Blend being a close second.

Not only did I have fun baking in the kitchen and serving up the baked treats to family and friends, but, like my husband, I had fun sampling the different Community Coffee Company blends to find my favorite.  While I loved all four, I found myself reaching for the Cafe Special K-Cups in the AM, or when pairing with baked goods I had made, when I found myself with some "me time" in the evening and was looking for a way to relax and enjoy a good show with a delicious treat and tasty coffee to accompany it. :-)

Here is more about the Community Coffee Company varieties I was sent.

12 oz. Ground Louisiana Blend
"This special blend embodies the distinctive flavor of Louisiana and the company's heritage. The tastefully dark-roasted coffee has a fruity, rich flavor with hints of roasted nuts. Made from the top 1% of the world's coffee beans.  To complement chocolate desserts, it’s best to serve a French or dark roast like this blend."

"Taste the rich, buttery flavor of caramel blended with medium roasted coffee. This satiny smooth coffee is made from the top 10% of the world's coffee beans. For use in all KEURIG® K-CUP® brewers.
