Hatchems

A couple years ago I shared a review of Hatch Ems and how they were great stocking stuffers for my girls.  If you want to check out this past post you can see it here: http://supergroweggs.com/news/stocking-stuffer-ideas-from-inspired-by-savannah/.  Recently, I was asked to review Animal Planet Hatch Ems Super Grow Eggs with my girls and jumped at the opportunity.  Not only did I know they would like these super grow eggs and the suprise inside, but I was planning to incorporate these Hatch Ems into a lesson plan I had planned for the girls all about Rainforest Animals.

Being a homeschool parent has opened my eyes to all that goes into putting together a comprehensive lesson plan.  And, having two girls who have different learning styles, I have to make a point to come up with not on educational lessons and theme weeks, but ones that both girls will enjoy and participate in.  Bella, my youngest, is more hands on, while Savannah could spend the entire day who workbooks or reading a book or watching an educational film to learn more about a topic.

I knew that the Animal Planet Hatch Ems Super Grow Eggs would be a perfect fit for both learning styles, as they both like surprise eggs (what kid doesn't, right!) and Savannah could share the fun facts she can now read from the fun animal facts cards to are included and go with each animal.

Just as I had suspected the Animal Planet Hatch Ems Super Grow Eggs were a huge hit with my girls.  Bella couldn't wait to see what was in her Hatch Em egg, and when I wasn't looking cracked it open to expose the hidden animal.  But, Savannah, wanted to wait and see the whole process, so we waited 24 hours for the eggs to hatch to reveal the animal hiding inside.

Once the eggs hatch, if you leave your Animal Planet Hatch Ems in water for another day or so, they will continue to grow.  My girls love checking in on their Hatch Ems to see how much bigger they have gotten.  And, to tie in with school work, I have had the girls draw pictures of the entire Hatch Ems process from egg to the hatching of their animals, and then to show just how big their hidden animal got.  Stay tuned as I will be sharing photos of the girls drawings on my social media pages once we are done with our theme week. So, be on the look out for them.

But, in the meantime, I wanted to share more about these fun and oh so educational super grow eggs with you, in case you are still looking for last minute Easter basket ideas that are not candy, and that your kids will really enjoy...

The colorful animals hatch right out of their shells and are available in Safari Animals, Rain Forest Animals, Sea Creatures and Dinosaur series to take kids on a tour of some of the world’s most historic and exotic animals.
