Arriving Tomorrow on DVD -- He's A Bully, Charlie Brown (Review)

Disclosure:  I was sent a screener copy from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Release aligns with Anti-Bullying Month in Support of Educating and Raising Awareness of Bullying Prevention

With all the bullying that happens in schools and outside nowadays, it is nice to see people raising awareness of this through an Anti-Bullying month.  And, to go along with this, the folks at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment are releasing, "He's a Bully, Charlie Brown" on DVD tomorrow, to help share with children important life lessons with the help of the Peanuts gang.  This DVD also aligns with anti-bullying month in support of educating and raising awareness of bullying prevention, which would make this a great DVD for teachers to share in the classroom, churches to share in Sunday School, after school groups to share with their kids, and even parents  to sit down with their children to watch and discuss.

Bullying can start at an early age -- it just doesn't happen in middle and high school.  We are seeing so many stories in the news of children as young as 6 and 7 years old committing suicide as a result of bullying.  This should not be happening.  Why can't children teach each other with kindness.  I truly hope that bullying will one day soon be a thing of the past.

I had the opportunity to first watch this DVD with my girls and then again when I had my nieces and nephews over.  The kids, who are all fans of Snoopy and Charlie Brownie, were excited for the movie, even before I told them what it was about, as they are all looking forward to the Thanksgiving Peanuts movie release in theaters.

When I told them that the movie was about bullying, the oldest ones were a little turned off, as they thought it would be a lecture type movie.  But, as they sat to watch it, they really got into it.  After we were done watching the movie, we had a wonderful discussion about bullying and reminding kids that they can come to an adult when and if they find themselves being bullied.

SInce receiving this upcoming DVD release for review, we have already watched it a handful of times.  I have even passed it along to friends and family who are teachers, and they can't wait to share in their classrooms.
