When it comes to educational DVDs for my girls, I find myself always picking up the new LeapFrog Letter Factory Adventures titles as they are not only entertaining and keep the girls' attentions, but they do an amazing job at teaching them things they need to learn, including the alphabet, math, shapes and more. And, now that I homeschool Savannah, these DVDs are incorporated into my lesson plans as a fun way to reinforce skills I am teaching her.
So, when I heard about the LeapFrog Letter Factory Adventures: The Great Shape Mystery, which arrives in stores today, I had to get my hands on a copy to share with the girls. Just like all the others we own, this new DVD release from LeapFrog was a hit. As expected this DVD included a fun story to engaged the girls from start to finish while also teaching them about 2D and 3D shapes, fractions and measurements. I couldn't believe how quickly the girls were picking up about fractions, and that they were liking it. Savannah even asked if we would be learning about fractions and doing measurements soon in school as she was fascinated by them. :-) I love seeing my girls getting excited about learning, and thanks to this and other LeapFrog DVDs, they are having a blast learning through song and fun and easy to understand explanations of the content.
If you have a little one and are not familiar with LeapFrog titles, this is one DVD you should definitely pick up and watch with you child. You will see why I and so many other families of preschoolers and toddlers love these DVDs from LeapFrog.
