“SCAREDY SQUIRREL AND BINK & GOLLIE DOUBLE FEATURE” DVD RELEASES ON JUNE 9th

An all-new double feature from Scholastic with super fun characters pulled from storybooks!

My girls are on a Scholastic Storybook Treasures DVD kick right now.  After receiving 20 Stories for Spring (Scholastic Classics) earlier this year, they have fallen in love with how some of their favorite Scholastic storybook characters, including Max and Ruby, Chicken Little and even Curious George come to life in animated shorts.

So, when they saw me taking the upcoming (June 9th) Scaredy Squirrel and Bink & Gollie Double Feature DVD out of the mail, they couldn't wait to watch it.  They were already familiar with Bink & Gollie, two friends who are so different, but through their differences remain the best of friends, but had never heard of Scaredy Squirrel and wanted to watch these short stories.

In total, this DVD contains two Scaredy Squirrel and two Bink & Gollie features that are sure to delight little ones.  I know my girls can relate to Bink & Gollie, as they will oftentimes bicker and disagree as siblings do, but they will always come together with teamwork or respect for one another, making their friendship lasting and one-of-a-kind. :-)

As far as introducing the girls to Scaredy Squirrel, they thought he was really cute.  They even sat for the behind-the-scenes bonus feature that looked at the "Scaredy Squirrel Makes a Friend" story.

With over 50 minutes of educational and entertaining storytelling from Scholastic, your little ones will learn the importance of friendship as well as understanding their feelings and the need to respect one another, especially when you don't seem to see eye to eye on things.

If you are looking for a wonderful DVD to pick up for upcoming long car rides or to keep the kids engaged while also teaching importance life lessons, you'll want to make a point to pick up the Scaredy Squirrel and Bink & Gollie Double Feature when it arrives on DVD on June 9th.  I can't wait to hear what you and your kids think of this fun-filled DVD all about friendship.
