Discover the magical land of Centopia!
My girls recently stumbled upon a new show on Nick Jr.  While waiting for Paw Patrol to come on, Savannah stumbled upon Mia + me, another popular animated series, and was glued to the screen.

Not familiar with the Mia + me series?  Here is a little background on the show...

"If you’re not familiar with this enchanting program, which features live action and animation, Mia, a 12-year-old girl, attending a boarding school in Florence, Italy, used to read about the land of Centopia in an ancient book of myths. Now, thanks to a high-tech portal, she finds herself hurled into this wondrous and animated world of elves, unicorns, pans and dragons. But the once idyllic kingdom is embroiled in conflict. The evil Queen Panthea seeks to capture the unicorns and harness their power to keep herself young.

As Mia bounces between trying to fit in at her new school, and her life as a fairytale elf, she becomes the key to saving Centopia."

Savannah was quick to call Bella over to watch the new show she found, and together they became instant fans of Mia's. And from that moment on, we created a recording of this series so that the girls wouldn't miss another episode, while also being able to catch up on previously aired episodes.

Just when the girls thought they were caught up with the Mia + me series, they received this DVD in the mail.  Both were excited as it contained the first three episodes which they hadn't seen.  And, instead of watching a movie for family movie night this past Friday, they asked to watch the three episodes with us.  My husband had never seen this show, and was surprised at how good it was.  He, too, became a fan of the show, and can't wait to watch more episodes with the girls after work. :-)

If you have a Mia + me fan in your house, or have been looking for a new series on Nick Jr. to watch with your child(ren), this is one animated series worth checking out.  I can say and I know my girls will agree that Nick Jr. has done it again with another great show that is not only fun to watch, but great at teaching important life lessons, that both boys and girls will enjoy watching.

Teased by Violetta for an embarrassing athletic performance, Mia yearns to retreat from school to the more idyllic land of Centopia. They’ll have to figure it out before it’s too late for all of Centopia."
