Leapfrog: Amazing Word Explorers

Ever since my girls started crawling, I have made a point to pick up LeapFrog toys for them. Not only were they fun to play with, but they were also educational.  And, then, as they have grown, we have added fun DVDs and educational games to the mix, thanks to LeapFrog.  I have lost count on how many LeapFrog DVDs we own.  But, I do know how much they have helped both Savannah and Arabella learn things like their ABC's and counting.  And, now that Savannah is moving into Kindergarten in the Fall and Bella will be starting preschool at the same time, I have found myself reaching for these DVDs, especially on snow days, or when they are not feeling well and laying around, to provide viewing enjoyment while also teaching them new things at the same time.  Who says you can't have fun, while also learning at the same time?  And, with LeapFrog and their growing collection of toys, games and DVDS, learning is made fun -- especially in our house.

Recently, we had the opportunity to review LeapFrog Letter Factory Adventures: Amazing Word Explorers with the girls.  This Dove Approved DVD was a great teaching tool and enforcing of things we have been working with the girls on including word and letter recognition, word building and rhyming.  Next week we will be dedicating the week to celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday and rhyming is big on our learning agenda.  So, it was to have these animated stories to share with the girls, as a way to get them excited about rhyming.

If you have little ones who are fans of LeapFrog and their cast of characters which include Tad, Lily Leap and others, and are looking for a great way to teach them about words, story structure, rhyming in more, then you will want to pick up this DVD when it hits store shelves next Tuesday.

Savannah has already asked if she can bring this DVD to share with her preschool class, who is also learning about word building and rhyming.  In addition to the fun animated stories that make up this upcoming DVD release, little ones will also enjoy the cute sing-alongs that make up the bonus feature of this DVD.
