One baby essentials must have when welcoming baby home is a good nail care set. While some new and expectant moms get a gift set filled with hair care products, as well as nail clippers, emery boards, etc., it isn't until you actual try to cut your baby's nails that you see if these are good clippers or not. I had received a few different nail clippers with the gift sets I was given, and wondered why they all looked different. Weren't all baby's nails the same? It wasn't until I tried to cut the nails of my girls, either when they were sleeping, or as they drank their bottle on my lap, that I found myself struggling. I had trouble grasping one nail clipper as it was too clunky. The second nail clipper just seemed to tear the nails and would leave hang nails. When using this nail clipper, I found myself having to reach for the nail scissors to trim the torn nails for a cleaner cut, so that the girls wouldn't scratch their face when they rubbed it with their hands. The third nail clipper worked for the first few months and then seemed to get dull a short time later, thus leaving me to look for new nail clippers for the girls. And, I have been trying out different nail clippers since then, which is about 3 years now. But, I am happy to say that I finally found a nail clipper that works great on both baby and young children's nails.
