Holiday Gift Ideas -- Introducing the New Twinkle Toes Cabbage Patch Kids (Review)

Wow, Cabbage Patch Kids dolls have come a long way from the ones I had growing up.  Have you seen these adorable dolls lately?  I was recently sent one of the new Twinkle Toes by Sketchers Cabbage Patch Kids dolls to share with my girls and review, and couldn't get over how stinkin' cute they were.  

And, just like when I was a child, they had that baby powder scent to them, which I love.  I will say, though, that after smelling this scent on the dolls and seeing my girls who are no longer babies, I missed those baby years and being able to cradle them in my arms.  As I found myself tearing up, as I realized that time is zipping by, I couldn't help but smile as I watched my two girls take turns holding their new Cabbage Patch Kids doll.

There are different styles of Cabbage Patch Kids currently available, including the Twinkle Toes by Sketchers version.  What makes this version unique is that the Cabbage Patch Kids have Twinkle Toes shoes that light up.  

Not only are their outfits trendy and chic, but the shoes are blinged out and twinkle every time you tap their feet or they walk with the help of your child.  

When my girls saw the shoes light up, they quickly ran to the hall to get their Twinkle Toes shoes from Sketchers on, and together with their new Cabbage Patch Kid doll whose name is Molly Sofia (per the birth certificate -- just like the ones from when I was a child), they walked around the living room, showing how their shoes light up. :-)

This is the first Cabbage Patch Kids doll for my girls, but will not be the last.  They both fell in love with the doll and asked if we could write a letter to Santa or visit him at the mall, as they really wanted to ask for another Cabbage Patch Kids doll.  Even though my girls are still learning to share, I was surprised and happy to find them both enjoying their Cabbage Patch Kids doll and tending to it like it was their own little baby.  

This doll has sure seen its share of snuggling, hugs and kisses since we took it out of the box.  And, hopefully Santa will be bringing along friends from the Patch along to keep Molly Sofia company.

I am so happy to be able to share yet another favorite childhood toy with my girls, and see them get excited just like I did when I received my first Cabbage Patch Kids doll.  And, I love being able to play with them, and relive my childhood with my girls, and the newest collection of Cabbage Patch Kids dolls from JAKKS Pacific.
