KID SPIDEY

One thing I remember my mom always telling my brothers is to make sure they always have a good belt on, to not only keep their pants up, but to look presentable.  Even as young kids, she would get them  those weave material belts with the oval loops, and showed them how to put them on.  I always thought this was funny has she made a big deal about the need for a belt.  But, then I moved away for college and found myself walking behind people with drooping pants, which were dangling below their waists.  All I could hear in my head is my mom preaching about how pants should be worn to stay up and not slouch down around your ankles.  Maybe these guys didn't get the memo, or their moms didn't share the need for a belt with them.  Who knows?  All I know is that this is another thing I picked up from mom and find myself saying -- not to my girls just yet -- but, to my husband. :-)

Whenever birthdays and holidays roll around, in addition to the annual new supply of socks, underwear and undershirts, I will buy my husband a new belt.  I have been doing this since we started dating back in the late 90's, and have to say that he has a nice belt collection going -- he doesnt' like to throw clothes or accessories away.  He has enough belts to wear one for each day of the week for practically the whole month. :-)  He has belts for jeans, business dress pants, and even summer shorts.

You would think I could stop with the belts, as he has enough, right?  Well, I was recently given the opportunity to review a belt from the Mission Belt Co., and jumped at the opportunity. If anyone could give a revive on a belt, it would be be (or my mom).  After seeing the name Mission Belts, I found myself trying to figure out where I had heard that name before.  Then, it dawned on me, they were on Shark Tank. After watching their pitch for an investment from the sharks on YouTube, I spent some time at their website, http://missionbelt.com/, to learn more.

I was impressed not only with their selection and overall quality of their belts and how they were made, but also their back story.  I don't know about you, but I love when I can buy a product and see part of my purchase going towards a good cause.  Nowadays, you are pressed to find businesses looking to make a difference, by giving up part of their hard earned sales. But, the folks at the Mission Belt Co. are doing just that.

"Since inception we have sold thousands of Mission Belts and as a result, thousands of dollars have gone to help hard working people who need a hand up. There is more than enough for everyone. Thanks for being part of the Mission!
"Often times the DOLLAR that we pass on represents 20% or more of our profit and we are a for profit business, not a charity."

Given the opportunity to review a belt, I ended up choosing the Iron mission belt for my husband.

The Iron mission belt looked like it could be used for both dress and casual pants, which my husband loves.  Within a few days of putting in my request, I had received the sample in the mail.  I was impressed with the belt and how it looked.  I found myself wishing I had chosen a belt for myself as these belts are really nicely made and would be a great accessory to add to your wardrobe.  But, I also knew my husband, who had developed an appreciation for belts, thanks to me (and my mom), would also fall in love with the belt and enjoy wearing it.  And, that he did!

My husband couldn't get over how well the belt was made and how stylish it looked.  Usually he is not one to dress for style, but liked how it had a cool, hip look to it.  He also liked how he could custom fit the belt and cut it to fit just right, without having to worry about how to hide the extra leather, like he has to do with other belts, he cannot cut.

This belt is perfect for any outfit, business and casual, and helps even the most unstylish of people look well put together, just but strapping on a belt, and letting it show with a shirt tucked into your pants (which are held up where they should be thanks to the Mission Belt Co.).

With the holidays fast approaching, why not consider buying that guy in your life a new belt from Mission Belt.  With most belts averaging around $34.95-$39.95, you can't go wrong for the price, once you see the amazing quality and workmanship that goes into each and every belt made.  Even hard to shop for people on your list will love unwrapping their gift to find a belt for all occasions from the Mission Belt Co..

Sports fans especially will love these belt, which feature their favorite teams (both collegiate and professional leagues) on the belt buckle --
