While I was hoping to have a girls' movie night at my house this past weekend, the new school year and everyone's kids coming down with colds led to me having to postpone watching "Moms' Night Out" with the girls.  :-(  I am hoping that in the coming weeks that I can have the girls over to watch this cute movie, which, shhh...don't tell them, but I ended watching up.

Did you catch this movie when it was in theaters?  This was one movie I really wanted to see, but missed due to not being able to find a babysitter, or the girls being under the weather.  So, it was on my radar to pick up and watch once it arrived on DVD/Blu-ray (hit stores shelves on Sept. 2nd).  And, like me, a handful of girlfriends were looking forward to seeing this chick flick which stars Sarah Drew, Sean Astin, Patricia Heaton and even Trace Adkins.  Yes, you read that read, county sensation Trace Adkins, who is known for his deep raspy voice starred in this laugh out loud comedy.  So, we agreed that when it arrived on DVD that we would get together to watch it.

After tending to two sick kids who were up most nights last week, I was ready for a girls' night in and to watch a good movie.  So, after my girls finally went down to bed, I popped this movie on to watch with my husband and have to say that it was worth the wait.  I had heard mixed reviews from people when this movie was in theaters, including that it was a flop or just plain silly.  Hearing this, I wasn't expecting much from the movie.  But, I have to say that once it started, I was drawn in, as was my husband, and we couldn't stop laughing.

Here is a trailer and more information about this movie, in case you haven't heard of it, or missed it when it was in theaters:

Synposis:

"All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation - a long-needed moms' night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours. What could go wrong?
Rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America for mild thematic elements and some action."
If you love comedies or chick flicks, or are just looking for a good date night movie, this is definitely one movie worth checking out.  Fans of Trace Adkins will also love seeing him act in his comedy, and showing his talents as an actor.  I can't wait for my girlfriends to watch this movie with me, so that we can talk about all the funny parts and are favorite scenes.  This movie acted as a great distraction while tending to sick children, and looking for a way to unwind and laugh a little...well, in my case...a lot. ;-)

Whether you are a mom to little ones like me or your kids are older, or even out of the house, you will find yourself relating to the moms just looking for a night out without the kids, and how planning such a night if next to impossible or not without hiccups along the way.  You can see from the trailer above how funny this movie is and all the different things are can and do go wrong, so I will want steal too much of your time in raving about this movie. You will just have to see it for yourself, and enjoy...if you can manage to find some quiet time to do so with your friendships or even alone.  This movie would also be perfect to enjoy when trying to have a little "me time", too. :-)

I can't wait to hear what you think of this movie, so please share your thoughts on the movie here.
