My Thoughts:

Being a fan of the first Cowgirls 'n Angels movie, I was excited to learn of this new release. This family-friendly movie is great for children of all ages, especially those who love horses like my two girls do. Older children will like the coming of age storyline, as Dakota has to grapple with her past, in order to move forward and enjoy life like she should. Dakota learns that she is adopted and this news is hard for her to handle. As a result, she turns to horses and competing in competitions in order to try and get away from everything. But, as you know, you can only push the past away for so long before it comes back and needs to be dealt with. The story itself is well told and includes a great cast of actors who work well together and make you feel and relate to their characters, which for family films I like. As this heartwarming movie progresses, Dakota learns that blood relation is not what families are made up of, and that you can have your own unique family made up of non-blood relatives who love and care about you. If you cry easily at movies like I do, make sure you have a box of tissues handy as you will find yourself reaching for them over and over again. :-) Overall, I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, even a little more than the first, in hopefully a long running series from this movie franchise. This Dove-Approved movie is worth checking out for families who enjoy watching movies together. We will definitely be watching this movie again, and it will be one that I pass along to family and friends to enjoy. I can't wait to hear what you and your family think of Cowgirls 'N Angels 2, which is now available to own on DVD and Blu-ray from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
