Have you signed the Toxin Freedom Fighters Petition yet? The folks at Seventh Generation are hoping to collect 100,000 signatures in support of meaningful reform. As I am writing this post, they have collected 94,571 signatures thus far.
I know that they will get their 100,000 signatures and many more, as many parents and consumers are aware about that many products available currently contain 80,000 synthetic chemicals, of which less than 10% have been EPA testing. This is so wrong, don't you think? Being a cancer survivor, and having lost so many friends and family to cancer, Alzheimer's, etc. we need to take a stand and demand that Congress reevaluate the Toxic Substance Control Act, which hasn't been looked at since it was passed in 1976. These laws need to be updated to protect the health of the general public. It is just the right thing to do.
