Making nutritious, great-tasting infant and toddler food for over 75 years!

"When it comes to feeding our babies, our goal as moms is to provide them with the freshest, tastiest, most nutritious food in the world - without any artificial ingredients or preservatives. Many moms would love to make their own baby food for this reason, but with their already hectic schedules that isn't always realistic.

Beech-Nut is proud to provide nutritious food choices to support the growth and development of your baby. At Beech-Nut, they understand that moms don't want to feed their babies anything they wouldn't eat themselves, which is why they are introducing a new line of real food for babies that is 100% natural and inspired by homemade.

Just real, whole fruits and vegetables are inside their jars- and nothing else. No preservatives or artificial anything. Because everybody deserves real food. Especially babies.

With over 40 fresh new flavors, like Just Honey Crisp Apple and Just Bartlett Pears, and delicious combinations like Beets, Pear & Pomegranate and Just Pear, Raspberry & Asparagus, there's something for every baby to enjoy."

I was recently sent a sampling of Beech-Nut's new line of baby food to try with my youngest daughter, Arabella. When it comes to selecting food for my children, I always look for 100% natural products.  Why would I want to feed my girls foods that have weird ingredients on the label that I can't pronounce or have any idea what it is.  With some many foods on the market for infants through adults containing additives, preservatives, GMO and other unnecessary and oftentimes unhealthy ingredients, it is hard to go food shopping nowadays.

But, when it comes to buying food for my girls, I don't have to worry as long as I stick with trusted brands like Beech-Nut, who has been around for over 75 years.  My mom used to feed my brothers and I Beech-Nut oatmeal and baby food when we were younger, and now we are doing the same with our children.  :-)

So, when I heard that Beech-Nut was adding a new line of real food for babies, which was 100% natural and inspired by homemade, I had to check them out.  Even though my youngest is 2 yrs. old, due to her stomach problems we are still trying to determine the cause of, we have been monitoring and adjusting her diet.  For a while, we tried her on a dairy and soy free diet to see if her constant vomiting would go away. But, after a stressful month of limiting her diet (good luck in trying to find dairy and soy free foods for infants/toddlers), we determined that she didn't have a dairy allergy. We then continued to try other diets and omitting certain foods.  In the end, I have found that the more natural her diet is, that she handles food better and doesn't get sick as often.

Because we have been moving to a more natural diet, either I had the choose to make my own baby food, which if you make it yourself, know that it is time consuming and costly when using organic ingredients.  Or, I could look for baby food from trusted brands that was  100% natural.  My first choice when reaching for baby food of any kind, jars or boxed cereal, has always been Beech-Nut.  I personally like the selection and flavor combinations.  And, both of my girls are fans, without knowing that I am giving them fruit and veggie combinations.  With a picky eater like Savannah, I rely on these delicious combinations to sneak in the necessary fruits and veggies into her daily diet.  She thinks she is getting a treat when I serve her up a bowl of Beech-Nut's new just raspberry, apple and beets.

What I loved most about this new line of baby food from Beech-Nut, was that when you opened a jar you could see actual fruit pieces.  And, it smelled like the fruit, unlike other baby foods that look watery and have a funny smell to it. With Beech-Nut's new just line of baby food for stages 1-3, it looked like it was made in small batches and had that homemade look, feel and taste to it.  Have you ever tried your child's baby food?  Come on, we all have in an attempt to get them to try it when introducing new flavors.  Well, this new line of 100% natural baby food is a far cry from what you probably tasted and thought was awful.

Oh, how I wished this was around a few years ago when we were trying to get Savannah to try new flavors. She would see my husband and I make funny faces as we tried the baby food from the jar and went "ick".  I could have had sat down with Savannah and devoured a couple jars of the new just line from Beech-Nut.  Don't believe me?  Pick up a jar of this new baby food and try it for yourself.  You will be amazed at how delicious it tastes (never thought you would hear someone say this about jarred baby food, huh?), and your kids will want more.  Maybe with the introducing of this new line of baby food that is all natural and wholesome tasting, little ones will be less likely to become picky eaters.  We can only hope. :-)

Just look at some of the new flavors available from Beech-Nut's new 100% natural line of stages 1-3 baby food :
