In addition to the above DVD releases in the ever popular "Enchanted Tales" series, a couple others that my girls love watching include:

Once upon a time a kind-hearted merchant was imprisoned by a giant Beast. The merchant’s daughter, a fair lady, set out to find her father, only to meet his captor and learn that underneath it all, the Beast had a kind heart and soul. Is it possible this Beauty just found her Prince Charming?
Certain to capture the hearts and imaginations of the entire family, Pocahontas comes alive in this fully animated, song-filled story of breathtaking early American romance, laughter and thrills! Living in harmony with nature, the young Indian princess, Pocahontas, falls in love with the gallant Englishman, Captain John Smith. Suddenly, when the pair is separated by an evil and scheming colonist, Pocahontas embarks on an adventure beyond her wildest dreams to find her love."

"Mirror, Mirror on the wall, which fairy tale is the fairest of them all? Why, it’s Snow White! Along with the Seven Dwarves, Snow White battles the wicked Queen and her rotten apple and then embarks on the greatest journey of finding her handsome prince and living happily ever after.

This fantastical animated movie tells the story of a seven-year-old girl named Claire, who constantly dreams about growing up to be a princess. One day, while she’s looking for her little sister Caitlin, Claire discovers a secret door that leads to a magical adventure."

My Thoughts:

Don't worry, I will not bore you with a review of each of the above new releases in the Enchanted Tales series, as you probably have seen each countless times growing up and with your children.  What I did want to share today is how much my family loves these adaptations of classic fairy tales, and how these affordable DVDs, only $9.95 each, would make for a great Easter basket gift ideas.

Children both young and old will enjoy the Enchanted Tales collection, and will love singing along to original songs from these classic tales.  And, little ones will stay engaged from start to finish, as these movies are only 48 minutes in length.

Even though we own DVDs of the original movies featured in the collection, I have to say that I was impressed with the way that each was adapted.  It gave a new look and feel to some of my childhood favorites, and offered children another way to experience these classic hits.

At first, my oldest daughter, Savannah was confused when we had watched an earlier release in the Enchanted Tales series of Beauty and Beast, as it wasn't the Belle she was familiar with.  But, when she heard the original songs and music, she couldn't help but sit and watch this new adaptation.  And, since then, she and Bella have been hooked on these classic films, which are 100% Dove approved and have won numerous awards.

Once you watch any of the above tales in a fresh new light, you will fall in love with the Enchanted Tales series.  Providing entertaining DVDs since 1997, Golden Films has a winner with the Enchanted Tales series.  And, my family can't wait to see what new classics are remade in fun new full length movies.
