"Get Motivated" while incorporating music into your routine through the #1 selling sport earphone company – yurbuds!

Wow, this month is flying along.  I can't believe that there are only 4 days left in January.  With one month in the new year almost done, how you are doing on your New Year's Resolutions?  Did you make any fitness or weight loss resolutions?  If you remember, I shared a handful of posts last year about how one of my 2013 resolutions was to finally lose the extra baby weight I couldn't seem to get rid of from my 2010 and 2011 pregnancies. After a lot of hard work, perseverance, and a few ups and downs on the scale, I finally reached my weight loss goals a few days shy of 2014.  What a great feeling it was to finally say I stuck with and saw a resolution through.  I used to be one of those people who would make resolutions, only to give up on them a few weeks into the new year.  I hated to see myself failing, and would always just give up before the real work in making a resolution a success started.  But, what an accomplishment and great feeling it was to finally fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes.  And, my night out on the town for New Year's Eve was not only memorable, as it was the first time in I don't know how long my husband and I went out on a date-date without the girls, but I loved being able to go dress shopping and wear a form fitting dress, without having to cover up my mid-section, or feel self-conscious of the mommy bulge.

While I was able to reach my weight loss goals, I know that as we age our metabolism slows down and we put on pounds faster than we take them off.  With that being said, one of my resolutions for 2014 was to maintain my current weight.  And, if I am able to lose a few more pounds throughout the year...even better. :-)  But, like in years past, I hit a bump a couple of weeks ago when a lot of things seemed to be going wrong.  My youngest keeps throwing up and doctor's don't know why, I found out my rheumatoid arthritis came back after being put in remission during cancer treatment, and both cars seemed to be giving us trouble.  Oh, and don't get me started on the teething and terrible two's and three's, which have left both my husband and I up most nights, and rising even earlier each day.  Because of these events/stressors, I have found myself reaching for unhealthy sugary snacks which seemed to find their way back into our house, when I need a pick-me-up.  As a result, instead of maintaining or losing weight, I started to put on a few pounds.  While you couldn't tell by looking at me, I could feel it, and it made we want to give up my resolutions to stay fit and healthy for 2014.  But, thanks to a surprise gift from my husband of yurbuds headphones, some new music loaded to my iPod, and extra "me time" in the evenings, I have been able to get back into a fitness routine that is helping me lose those extra pounds I have put on.

Music really gets me motivated.  How about you?  Whenever I hear a good song on the radio, I can't help but turn it up and have a mini dance party in the living room with the girls.  And, I am not ashamed to admit it, but a few of the girls' television shows have catchy theme songs that make you want to get up and move around.  So, not only am I staying active during the day time...so are the girls! :-)  And, with the help of my FitBit tracking device, I am able to keep track of the calories I burn and number of steps I take in day.  If it wasn't for this tracking device, which you can purchase at Best Buy for only $129, I would never know just how active I am, and be able to work to beat my personal bests each day. :-)

And, when it comes to tracking and keeping your fitness goals in check, I couldn't have made my 2013 weight loss resolution a success without my trusty Fitbit, which I wear as a bracelet 24/7 around my wrist.  Every night before I go to bed, I sync my progress to my phone, and can monitor my activity, share with friends, etc.  It is amazing the new technology that is available for those looking to get into shape, or live a healthier lifestyle by staying motivated and moving daily.

The Fitbit Force is just one of many fitness tracking devices on the market.  But, I have to say that after trying a handful of others, I always find myself going back to my Fitbit, as it is accurate and offers so much on the tracking aspect that the others fall short on.  To learn more about the Fitbit or other health tracking devices available, head on over to Best Buy, including a Best Buy Mobile Specialty store now, to browse their product offering in their Health and Fitness section.

Don't take my word on how great these headphones are...

Did you know?

"Studies have shown that music can increase the intensity and duration of a workout by as much as 15%.  Unfortunately, most people miss out on those benefits because their earphones hurt and fall out during active use.  yurbuds was founded in 2008 by an Ironman Triathlete and a 24-time marathoner in response to that problem. Our products are ergonomically designed for comfort and exceptional fit, while providing best-in-class audio quality and durability.  yurbuds is passionate about serving our customers and our community.  We listen to and learn from our athletes to produce solutions to their needs.  We are dedicated to innovating and creatively changing the industry of sport audio.  Our goal is to empower athletes through exceptional products and services to help them to push past their barriers, reach new personal bests, and #neverstop. yurbuds®, the #1 selling sport earphone company in the United States, is transforming the athlete experience with its new Inspire Limited Edition Wireless earphones to get you motivated through music. Launching at CES 2014 in Las Vegas this January, athletes and tech enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the first-ever Stereo-Bluetooth® wireless earphones guaranteed to never hurt and never fall out.

“We’ve cut the cords so fitness enthusiasts have less in the way of achieving the perfect workout,” said Daniel DeVille, Director of Marketing for yurbuds. “Designed based on user feedback, we are excited to deliver best-in-class wireless earphones that solve the needs not currently met by other wireless earphones and meet the rigorous standards of even the top professional athletes.”

So, what are you waiting for?  Like I said, we only have 4 more days until February is here.  If you have found yourself giving up already on your New Year's Resolutions, maybe with the help of music you will get motivated again.  It worked for me! :-)
