My Thoughts:
I am a child of the 80's, so I grew up playing with Care Bears and watching all the movies about them that came out, over and over again. And, now that I have girls of my own, I can't help but share with them some of my favorite childhood toys, like the Care Bears. I don't know about you, but I love when the holidays roll around, as there are so many great family friendly movies to watch on television, as well as on DVD. And, after watching the soon to be released "Care Bears: The Great Giving Holiday" from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, we have another holiday favorite to add to your DVD collection. :-)
Who can resist a bunch of cuddly and oh so cute bears, with fun names like Wonderheart, Tenderheart, Cheer Bear, Daydream Bear, Wish Bear and Love-a-Lot Bear. Savannah got so excited when she saw the DVD case, and was able to name each of the Care Bears she saw. Not bad, huh? :-) And, throughout the movie, both Savannah and Arabella got excited when their favorite Care Bears appeared. I have to admit that while I was watching this movie, I couldn't help but reminsce about my childhood and the Care Bears. I remember that a handful of Christmas lists included a Care Bear. And, I would go crazy on Christmas morning when I found Care Bears plush toys and pajamas under the tree. Shh, don't tell the girls, but I think Santa is bringing them matching Care Bears shirts this Christmas! :-) If only they came in an adult size...I would get one to wear with them.
Even though the holiday rush is weeks away, people are already getting ready for the holidays. My neighbor was outside over the weekend putting up his Christmas lights, stores have holiday displays and ornaments for sale, and the sales are starting to pop up online. I love being able to snuggle up with my girls, as we get excited for the holidays and hopefully white Christmas, by watching great family-friendly holiday movies like Care Bears: The Great Giving Holiday, which shares positive messages that we can apply to our own lives year round. If you grew up loving the Care Bears, or have a child who can't get enough of these cuddly bears, why not pick up this new holiday DVD when it releases in stores on Nov. 5th.
