My Thoughts:

Growing up in the 80's, one of my favorite characters was Strawberry Shortcake.  I remember vividly how each of the plastic dolls would smell like strawberries.  And, when I wasn't playing with my assortment of Strawberry Shortcake and Friends dolls, I had my sticker book filled with scratch and sniff and puffy Strawberry Shortcake stickers, or would be wearing clothes with Strawberry Shortcake on them.

Fast forward 30+ years, and Strawberry Shortcake is still around.  While is hair is not the same deep red I remember it, she is still appealing to young girls through movies and the new TV series.  Both of my girls love sitting with me to watch this popular animated series, and were excited when my parents brought down a box of my old toys the other day, which included a Strawberry Shortcake plush doll.  The girls took turns playing with and cuddling with Strawberry Shortcake, before sitting down to watch the recent DVD release "Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Mysteries" with me.

Since receiving this recent Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment DVD release the other day, the girls and I have already seen it half a dozen times.  I can't say no, as I love watching and reminiscing about my childhood and love for Strawberry Shortcake, as I sit and watch my girls enjoying her, too.
