My Thoughts:

I love receiving Chicken Soup for the Soul books.  Whenever I open a package and see a new book in this popular inspirational series, I can't help but stop reading the book on my nightstand, and read this one instead.  Usually, if the girls cooperate and sleep through the night, or at least only get up once, I can finish a Chicken Soup for the Soul book in one evening.  While this series has been around 20 years, I have found that as I get older, and now that I am a mom, I appreciate the inspirational stories more, and oftentimes find myself relating to many stories shared.  And, with this new release, I found myself liking it more than the other Chicken Soup for the Soul books I have read recently.  All the stories shared dealt with making the best of bad situations.  From health and financial issues to relationship or even career issues, we have all had our fair share of bad days in our life.  I have found, even after battling stage 2 cancer, that these so-called bad situations, have made me a better person.  I have grown and learned from them.  And, while at the time, I would have rather have crawled up into a ball and given up, I pushed onward, and came out, a little bit bruised or scarred, but with a new outlook on life.

Each of the 101 stories that make up this new release will really hit home with most of us, either with experiences we have gone through personal or have watched close family and friends deal with.  I loved hearing how others turned bad situations into something positive.  If you are a fan of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, this is one book you will want to pick, as it really is moving and will have laughing, crying, throughout each story.  And, you will even find yourself thinking that your life and what you have gone through is not as bad you thought, as others have gone through worse, but have come out better and stronger people.
