ESCAPE TO THE MYSTERIOUS TOWN OF HAVEN AS SEASON THREE OF THE HIT
SYFY SERIES ARRIVES ON DVD & BLU-RAY, LOADED WITH EXCLUSIVE EXTRAS
PLUS A 16-PAGE COMIC - JUST IN TIME FOR THE SEASON FOUR PREMIERE!

"Everything is about to change in the third season installment of HAVEN, the hit Syfy series from the creative team behind "The Dead Zone" and "Tru Calling" that Entertainment Weekly called "a must see show!" Hailed by critics and fans alike (in its third season, HAVEN was the #1 original scripted cable show among adults in its Friday 10 p.m. timeslot), HAVEN: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON arrives on DVD and Blu-ray September 3 - in anticipation of the series' Season 4 premiere on Syfy September 13.

Based on Stephen King's "The Colorado Kid," HAVEN follows FBI agent Audrey Parker (Rose), who has taken up residence in the small town of Haven, Maine, a longtime refuge for people with an eclectic range of supernatural abilities. Now a detective in the Haven police department, Audrey finds herself inexplicably linked to the mysteries of this extraordinary seaside village. Season three of Haven picks up immediately following the events of the gripping season two finale with Audrey (Emily Rose) having been brutally kidnapped; Nathan (Lucas Bryant) warned against pursuing a romantic relationship with Audrey; and Duke (Eric Balfour) seemingly engaged in a fight to the death with Nathan after he discovers his family lineage is to kill Haven citizens with troubles. Episodes include "301," "Stay," "The Farmer," "Over My Head," "Double Jeopardy," and the season three cliffhanger finale, "Thanks for the Memories.""

My Thoughts:

My husband and I had some catching up to do this past weekend in regards to the hit television series, HAVEN, which airs on the Syfy channel.  We had missed a handful of the third season episodes, and were just waiting for the complete season to become available to play catch up, as the 4th season is set to begin on Sept. 13th.  I don't know about you, but every time I get into a new television series, it never seems to last.  So, my weekly viewing schedule or need to records shows to watch at a later date is limited.  But, one show that my husband and I love to watch together (which is rare) is HAVEN.  I just love Stephen King books, and was happy to have stumbled upon this television series when it first premiered.  And, from the pilot episode, I was hooked.  I loved seeing so many young actors and actresses that I had seen in movies previously, as well as some fresh faces.  And, they played off each other well, making the weekly story lines that much more entertaining.

If you are a fan of Stephen King, then you have probably read his novella "The Colorado Kid."  HAVEN, the television series, is based on this title.  What I love best about this supernatural television series is that it pulls you in from the moment an episode starts.  And, if you watch this show, then you know how great the season finales are, like that of season 2 and 3.  While they say living in a small town may be good, this hit television series will have you thinking again about making the move to a small town, like that of HAVEN, Maine.

In addition to including all full-length episodes from season 3, this DVD  also includes some great bonus features, that HAVEN fans will love like deleted/alternative scenes, the "Escape to Haven" webisode series, interviews with the cast and guest starts and a laugh out loud blooper real, just to name a few.  I can't believe that my husband and I were able to fit in all 13 episodes (572 minutes) that make up the Complete Third Season of HAVEN.  Now, we are ready to tune in on Sept. 13th on the Syfy channel, to catch the start of Season 4, which looks like to be the best of all seasons to date. :-)
