My Thoughts:

There is just something about talking dog movies that makes you smile.  Yes, I know that I am a dog lover, but come on, you can't tell me classics like Lady and Tramp or those buddies aren't entertaining to watch as a family.  So, when I heard about Chihuahua Too! being released by Entertainment One, I had to get my hands on a copy.  Having seen the first DVD in this hopefully long, success running series, I knew the girls would be excited to see.  This past weekend we ended up watching this new release.  At first, I thought it would have been a sequel to the first Chihuahua movie, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a new stand-alone movie, and one that was truly entertaining for both children and adults to watch together.  Not only were the dogs, especially Sophie, cute in the movie, this movie also carried great themes including the importance of family, acceptance, teamwork and honesty.

I don't know about you, but since having kids, I seem to tear up at almost all movies, including children's animated films.  When this movie started playing and I saw that Sofie was longing for a family to love her, I started welling up, and had to reach for tissues.  Throughout the film I had to dab my eyes, until the full waterworks started at the end, when Sofie had her happily ever after ending.  Arabella saw that I was crying and came and gave me a hug, and told me it would be ok. :-)  When I asked the girls what they thought of it, Savannah "It was dog-gone good!"  She even asked when we would be watching this funny movie again.  I told her if she behaves, we can watch again this week. :-)  I am guessing this with be one new release that will be watched over and over again.  And, I don't mind, as I enjoyed it, too!  This movie will have you laughing and crossing your fingers that Sofie finds a family to call her own.  You don't have to be a dog lover to fall head over heals for Sofie and the other talking dogs in this film.  And, while it isn't a big-budget film, it is filled with humor and truly a heartwarming film, that the whole family will enjoy.  So, if you are looking for a new DVD to share with your family come movie night, why not pick up Chihuahua Too! today?  You will not be disappointed! :-)
